Like I said, it’s the GMs job to do what he feels is best fit the team. That’s what he’s paid to do. That’s his JOB.
Rodgers job is to lead the teams offense on the field. He’s not the GM, or the head coach.
If he does play this season for the Packers, they are going to have to special order a size XXXXL helmet for him.
And a dump truck to carry his ego in.

Does he think if he goes somewhere else they will just let him run the whole show?
If a team does that, they are idiots. And most likely will fail.

Frankly, I think these reports are total bullshit. Remember he was minutes away from being traded to Denver… Right?
The guy is working out with his teammates (note the virtual reality thing with he and Bakhtiari) and is attending the Kentucky Derby with teammates.
Now, having said that, if they could make a Herschel Walker type deal and fleece somebody with a bunch of good players and draft choices, that would be fine with me.
The reason it would be fine with me it’s not that I don’t think Rodgers is fantastic, but I think this team needs quite a bit to reach the Super Bowl.
Brady went to a team loaded with talent...so much so that he could throw three interceptions in a NFC championship game and still come out a winner.
12 doesn’t have that luxury. He needs to play near perfect or we lose.

Packers GM Brian Gutekunst on Yahoo report that Aaron Rodgers wants him fired: “Aaron hasn’t said anything like that to me ... I think that’s a little unfair to put that on him ... Nothing’s been communicated directly to me.”

The report I believe the most one the one that was claimed to be from someone Rodgers camp, that Rodgers wanted to lock up his contract and secure that he's with the Packers for either it was two years or the remaining of his current contract and the Packers declined that and that's why he's upset.

I believe that because to me, that means he's probably asking for a no-trade clause to be placed into his contract so he can refuse any trade. Which makes perfect sense that he'd WANT that. And he might also want a no franchise tag as well and then either agree to any trade or he decides where he plays.

I think Rodgers is just frustrated/pissed-off that he doesn't have any control of the "beautiful mystery" of where he's going... and that "beautiful mystery" is actually his freaking worst nightmare because it's eating up on the inside.... because he wants control .......... and maybe to a certain degree he's a control freak... he wouldn't be the first three time MVP QB that was (*looking at Peyton*)

Reading that quote from Gutekunst, doesn't that come off like if Aaron wants me gone, he should man up and tell me to my face, tell me directly and not be a little coward!!

I am willing to wager (1) zero 2 cool Chinese connection acquired number 10 gbp jersey that whoever Rodgers plays for this year will be looking at a contract that pays him a Mahomes like figure (plus about 1 dollar or so) going into this season. There will be no talk of Gute firing during the announcement.

If it’s about the money..,,.if I was getting paid 30 million dollars a year and someone else was getting 35, I would be smiling all the way to the bank! I wouldn’t be whining about it.

How much money can you spend in a lifetime?
If it’s about SB rings, Rodgers would be an idiot to leave here. This team is his best shot.
He had his shot this past season, and blew it. Our D gave him the ball several times in the 4th quarter, and he didn’t get it done. That’s on his shoulders.
If you want to be paid and treated like the GOAT, then you better back it up on the field. And in the playoffs, when it really counts, he hasn’t got it done except in 2010.
JMO of course.

As someone who listens and reads everything Aaron Rodgers. I can confidently say -- this is not about money. If there are ten things this is about, money is 11, maybe 10.

I'm sure every employee of every company would like to control their bosses. I think Rodgers is too big for his britches. The Packers can't allow him or any other employee control what they do.
I wonder what his teammates think? If they see him getting his way, do you not think they will try the power play too?
Honestly, I wish this would just end either way.

beast (11h) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (11h) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (21h) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (21h) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (23h) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Martha- C'est mon boulot! 😁
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you
wpr (22-Jan) : Z, glad you are feeling better.
wpr (22-Jan) : My son and D-I-L work for UM. It's a way to pick on them.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you. I rarely get sick, and even more rarely sick to the point I can't work.
wpr (22-Jan) : Beast- back to yesterday, I CAN say OSU your have been Michigan IF the odds of making the playoffs were more urgent.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Oh snap!!!
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Even Stevie Wonder can see that.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Nah, you see Lions OC leaving to be HC of Bears is directly related to Packers.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ohhhhhhh Zero is in TROUBLE
packerfanoutwest (21-Jan) : Zero, per your orders, check Bearshome, not packershome
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Then he'll land with another team and flourish.
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Ben going to Bears. He'll be out in 3 years.
Mucky Tundra (20-Jan) : what's so funny?
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
