QB Deshawn Watson has a massage scandal where about 21 unnamed massage therapist are claiming he inappropriately did things, generally dealing with his penis.

18 named massage therapist are now backing him, as he didn't do anything inappropriate things with them.

I get that he's a professional athletes, whom gets hit a lot as he doesn't have a good OL, but is it just me or even 10 massage therapist seem like a lot? Much less possibility 40... now this is over what 4 or 5 years... but these also are only ones that have claimed to speak up... how many more are there, that aren't yet part of that 40?

But still, I would think a player would find one to five good ones, and stick with them. I'm just surprised how many there are total.

Though, I don't know what is normal or standard for a professional athlete, but I just thought they'd prefer a smaller circle of very good ones... not often trying new ones. But maybe that's me being biased as I'm an introvert, and prefer a small circle of those that are good/trusted and not many people.

I don't know if any of it is true or not. I don't know if it's better for him be innocent and nearly two dozen women lying, or him being guilty. I do know I wish our Country was one that allegations were strictly private and only convictions were possibly made public.

Unless a large number of them simply didn't get the job done correctly or didn't have time for a multi-millionaire famous person. But that seems unlikely, not impossible, but unlikely.

When Deshaun Watson first defended himself on social media, I couldn't help but be reminded of Ryan Braun and Rafael Palmeiro going to bat for themselves. And reading some comments of those who are defending Watson saying "he's good looking, young and tons of money, he doesn't need to force himself onto a woman" and that breadth of comments makes me think about Darren Sharper and Kellen Winslow II.

Anyhow, it looks like one of the women who defended Watson broke off their business relationship and also said " I just hope don’t nobody call me to question me.”

It seems Watson attempted more passes off the field then on the field!đŸ€Ș
And he completed at least 22.
Of course we don’t know exactly how many he attempted, so we don’t know the completion percentage.😉

While I hate anyone to be forced to do anything against their will, I think one bad dude is less bad than almost two dozen women conspiring to destroy a persons character and potentially -- career.

I don't know. It just all feels bad.

I mean, --- during a pandemic and you're still hitting around every Instagram masseuse you can find? And then what do you do? Hey baby, how bout you lower that mask and get freaky? I mean, what?

The older I get, the more I understand people.
When I was younger, I thought that most people thought like me, and didn’t even think of taking advantage of others.
Now I know that unfortunately, I was wrong. There are more bad people then I thought.
And the “modern age”, with computers and all make it that much easier to carry out evil things. The scams that go on all the time on the internet and cell phones is unreal. I just heard where an elderly lady mailed 20 grand to a scammer. She ended up being one of the few lucky ones, as the cops busted the creep and found the envelope with her address and money still in it, so she got it back.
Guys in high positions have used their “influence” to scam women into sexual acts for hundreds of years. But most of it wasn’t heard about much because there was no internet to share it all around the world.
The Kennedys did it big time. Look at Bill Clinton. And I thought Bill Cosby was a great guy. To say I was shocked when I heard about what he did is an understatement. And so people don’t think I’m picking on one side, Trump seems to have used his position for the same reasons.
Darren Sharper, I never thought he was that kind of person.
And I heard about all kinds of sexual shananagans going on at the Milwaukee Brett Favre steak house from a guy that worked there. Of course I don’t know if it was true, but I wouldn’t doubt it.
These kinds of people get treated like their s**t doesn’t stink, and they routinely get away with things that the every day person doesn’t get away with. They are used to being surrounded by loving fans and “yes men” that cater to their every whim. So they think they can do whatever they want with no consequences.
Like was said, why didn’t Watson get male masseuses to take care of him if what he really wanted was a deep tissue massage? My guess is, he wanted more. And the number of women alone makes him look guilty. Were they all so bad at what they did that he had to keep looking for the GOOD one?
I don’t understand why a guy, with so much to lose, would put himself in such a bad position.
Looks to me like another “thinking with the little head, instead of the big one” situation.

Desean Watson attorney on the radio today said if a massage ends with a "happy ending", that is not against the law, unless extra money was paid.

Wait a second! Why would I pay $150 for a massage with no happy ending, when I can pay $140 for a massage AND get a happy ending? You see the perk even though you're paying less?

I'm gonna have to disagree with mr attorney.

The attorney went on to explain that the act itself is only criminal if the sex act was solicited and paid for. “Unless you are paying somebody extra or so to give you some time of sexual activity, it’s not a crime,” Hardin said.

He then added that since this is not a criminal offense, it’s just another reason why Watson will be vindicated.

“Doing something or saying something or being a way that makes you uncomfortable is not a crime,” added Hardin. “We’ve had two grand juries find that and nobody seems to want to listen.”
