In the heat of the moment of a competitive atmosphere, I can absolutely understand where he’s coming from. Especially if there had been some previous trash talk going on, which I’m not sure of.

Oh, I DEFINITELY understand where it comes from. The best way to deal with trash talkers is to beat them on the field. That’s the best way to shut their collective big mouths.

I just don't get it.

A player can intercept a football and get immediately tackled, and he and like 6 other members of the defense can run 40 yards after the whistle is blown to their endzone jumping up and down and ultimately posing for multiple photos over a ~30 second stint and it's just good (marketable) fun, but a light wave during the middle of an active play is unsportsmanlike and has no place in the NFL?
