Packers RB Aaron Jones was fined $10,527 for "taunting/unsportsmanlike conduct" as a result of his waving goodbye to Cowboys defender Byron Jones during a touchdown run last week.

I’m just glad they didn’t flag him during the play, or it may have cost us the touchdown.
Can’t make dumb mistakes like that.
Keep your celebrations until AFTER the score.

i love team celebrations, i.e., things with or directed at team mates.

things directed at opponents are poor sportsmanship IMO.

Who cares about this form of “taunting”? The NFL is getting so damn soft. What’s the difference in that and players getting in each other’s faces talking shit? There’s no flags thrown in those situations.

Good point. I would say, if you don’t like being taunted, do something to stop the other team from doing it.

The main reason I don’t like taunting is, it sends a bad message to young boys playing the game.
Sportsmanship does matter, and is learned (or NOT learned) at a young age.
I’ve won several championships in bowling, and never taunted the other teams. I knew how much it hurt to lose, so why would I do that to the other side.
