Daniels was like Lang, when healthy, they can still play at the elite level.... they're just not staying healthy as often as they've gotten older... and I still think this is more about creating cap room and opportunities for the young talented players with potential that Gute thinks will be able to step up if given the room to step into a larger role.

That's a lot of freaking potential talent that might be able to step up if given the opportunity. As some have suggested, potential talent could tank, but with that much potential the law of averages suggest at least one of them should be able to step up.

Just because you don't know what we'll get from those other names doesn't mean Gute doesn't know either... and it's his call.

They don't need the money for the RB and young DL whom are on cheap rookie contracts, so suggesting it's for them is a clear red herring.

You actually answered your own question before asking the question, it frees up money for resigning Clark and Lowry.
