I think the chemistry thing with 12, as measured by his early success last year clearly is a factor, but as others have penned, I worry about the durability.
I am still scratching my head over the re-signing of Graham, esp. given our tight cap situation.

As for Jimmy Graham, he is on the hot seat this season and will be auditioning for a contract with either GB or another NFL team. Let us hope that will make a difference this season.

Additionally, the new offensive system may just work better for Graham. Also he should be more in sync. with Rodgers.

Graham wont be seeing much of the field after we draft the TE from Iowa at the 12th pick. The TE is a big part of the new offense, just look at the numbers Walker put up the past few years

Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

If you look at the Shanahan, McVay and LaFleur system the connect parts are that they use

a blocker and (either a TE or FB)
a power RB

Jimmy Graham is no blocker, and since they're keeping him, he much be one of the receivers.

If the Packers draft Hockinson at #12, he'll compete with TE Lewis for the blocking TE role.

In this draft I'm expecting FS, TE, power RB, an OG/OT tweener and probably a DL ... the question depends on whom falls to them and where.... the late 1st seems like a potential great spot for the FS, everything else seems up in the air.

Sure you can strike gold later and you need late round picks to fill out your roster but I'd be happy if the Packers could turn their 10 picks into 8 picks in the first 4 rounds and call it a draft early.

Right now they could probably trade their 5,6,6,7 rounders and get back into the 4th but that would be a lot to give up (4 for 1 and only a 4th rounder at that, I don't think I'd like that) and it would only give them 7 picks. Trade down to 16 with Carolina and get Carolina's 3rd rounder (the numbers match) and that would be a good haul in the first 2 days.
