Aaron Rodgers also has small hands for a QB.

I'll have to see if I can find a piece I read back when we drafted him about his hands compared to other WR's...there were plenty with as small or smaller hands who were very successful in the NFL. As for the body catcher thing, that's what they said about Antonio Freeman when we drafted him. He turned out pretty well for us.

One thing Janis has is jets, strength and lateral agility. He should be able to make plenty people miss, run over some who don't, and run it in for 6 just like in St. Louis. I'm trying very hard to recall a player who was as electric as he was with the Pack. Randall and that play vs. New Orleans where he ran the wrong route for 6 in his NFL debut is about the closest that comes to mind. He just looked fast forward.

Clearly, Janis is a stud in the making...he doesn't get rostered last year if he wasn't thought to be because other teams were just waiting to pluck him from our PS, and our org was wise enough this time not to let that happen. It learned from it's mistake with Charles Johnson.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

Anyone worried about hand size should know that Davante Adams and Jeff Janis have the same size hands... 9.0"

T.Y. Hilton's hands are 8.5" and he seems to do pretty well with them.

The talk of Janis and small hands was just something to write for the "negatives" on his draft profile by Nolan Nawrocki. Janis isn't going to be successful or unsuccessful because of his hand size.

BTW, on the Rodgers hand size thing...his hands are 9 3/8"... Teddy Bridgewater who is hammered for his "tiny" hands checks in at 9 1/4". Tony Romo has 8.86" hands. Much ado about nothing. Rodgers a whole 1/4 of an inch bigger than Teddy Bridgewater.

Janis might be an all-pro and he might not ever catch more than 20 passes in this league until we see him earn some significant real playing time we don't know what he'll be. David Clowney used to rip up preseason then disappear when the real lights came on. I hope that's not the case with Janis. If Janis lives up to the hype though that's 4 deep at WR without even accounting for Abbrederis or Montgomery. That would be a hell of a roster right there. There's a lot to be excited about at the WR position for this coming season, I can't wait to see how it plays out.

David Clowney didn't even make it a half season with the Packers.

I'm willing to bet if Janis had an attitude problem, a year on the bench probably took him down a peg. I'm hoping we keep at least 6 wideouts, and if a 7th shows potential I'd rather us hold on to him the ultimately let him go to the Vikings! Isn't it about time for a roster prediction thread? haha. Less than 100 days till kick off! WOOO!

Zero2Cool (9h) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (9h) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (11h) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (12h) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
dfosterf (13h) : Martha- C'est mon boulot! 😁
Zero2Cool (13h) : Thank you
wpr (13h) : Z, glad you are feeling better.
wpr (13h) : My son and D-I-L work for UM. It's a way to pick on them.
Zero2Cool (13h) : Thank you. I rarely get sick, and even more rarely sick to the point I can't work.
wpr (13h) : Beast- back to yesterday, I CAN say OSU your have been Michigan IF the odds of making the playoffs were more urgent.
dfosterf (13h) : Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Zero2Cool (14h) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (14h) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (14h) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (14h) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (14h) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Oh snap!!!
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Even Stevie Wonder can see that.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Nah, you see Lions OC leaving to be HC of Bears is directly related to Packers.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ohhhhhhh Zero is in TROUBLE
packerfanoutwest (21-Jan) : Zero, per your orders, check Bearshome, not packershome
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Then he'll land with another team and flourish.
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Ben going to Bears. He'll be out in 3 years.
Mucky Tundra (20-Jan) : what's so funny?
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Bears are finalizing a deal to hire Ben Johnson as their head coach. (via @tompelissero )
Mucky Tundra (20-Jan) : Looks like Lions OC Ben Johnson is going to be the Bears coach
