I'd love Jacobs in the first round but not at 12. Trading back and picking up more picks in the 3rd or 4th round, or getting more ammo to move back up into the 4th round would be my ideal draft no matter who is picked. We have so many holes that pretty much any position in the first round will be a big help. Like I said in another thread. I think players drafted in rounds 1-4 are the ones who you could possibly count on to be solid players. Sure you can strike gold later and you need late round picks to fill out your roster but I'd be happy if the Packers could turn their 10 picks into 8 picks in the first 4 rounds and call it a draft early.
Right now they could probably trade their 5,6,6,7 rounders and get back into the 4th but that would be a lot to give up (4 for 1 and only a 4th rounder at that, I don't think I'd like that) and it would only give them 7 picks. Trade down to 16 with Carolina and get Carolina's 3rd rounder (the numbers match) and that would be a good haul in the first 2 days.
