In the past I've posted that GB was just maintaining the status quo (being complacent), and that changes at the GM and (recently) the HC positions were needed. I still believe that keeping Ted Thompson on the payroll, even as a scout, is a grave error.
GB appears to be cleaning house, but doing it in a high class way. 👍 Replacing Ron Zook as Special Teams Coach and allowing others to interview with other teams is a good start. I also expect DC Mike Pettine will (and should) have more to say in 2019 as far as who will be on his defensive staff.The choice of a new OC and Staff will be most intriguing.
An effective Special Teams play can be very important to a teams success. Punts, Kickoffs, Extra Points and "Special Plays" can often make the difference in some games. Preparing an effective ST is an important position and I hope that GB picks a very good man for the job.
