John Dorsey took a god damn promotion in 2013 to be General Manager of the Chiefs!! How you are saying Murphy fucked that up is just beyond me and honestly plain ignorant.

Yesterday, I took over an hour of my evening to reply to you to help inform you on some of your worries that weren't actually valid. And you just keep coming with more blatant lies and ignorant bullshit.

The messed up thing, you were one of them who constantly complained about John's blind spite of Ted Thompson and everything he did. Yet, you act like a straight up hypocrite doing the same thing to Mark Murphy. Pathetic.

I'd like to read more positive post about healthy returning players or players that will be better entering their 2nd season or how Lambeau Field has and is a profit generator for the Packers.
Let's end the Pity Party and get POSITIVE moving forward. [twocents]

Dorsey, ok
That's my whole damn point.
He had his chance to do it right.
He fucked it up.
I'm done!

You blamed him for shit he didn't do, contradicted your own arguments and ignored all the facts put in front of you. Maybe next time just post the above and be done. Assuming you are referring to Murphy here.

My one point!

Aftet the 2017 season Murphy had his chance to make changes, blow it up if you will, and he fucked up.
He half-assed it.
If you or anyone else can't see it .
I DON'T CARE!
I should have never tried to explain because I was unsure of the timeline of events.

So I'll just say it started when he removed Ted then didnt finish the job!

I'm sorry you took all thst time to try and prove me wrong.
Just know, again I don't care if you think I'm wrong, The Packers organization is far less stable then it was 1 year ago!

The big problem, it's going to take several years to fix.
I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!

Maybe it was the Vikings putting some cute name on the structure that made it so dorky to us, lol.

I am OK with the structure, except Russ Ball. Something about him I just don't like and I think he should be reporting to the General Manager. I don't know how many other finance people report to the GM though so I could be wanting something that's not even a decent idea.

Gute has been a personnel guy his whole career, a scout. Has anyone complaining about the current structure thought that just maybe Gute is perfectly comfortable collaborating with someone on the hiring of the Head Coach? Maybe Gute is smart enough to know what his own strengths and weaknesses are and isn't too much of an ego maniac to need control over that aspect when it's possibly not in the best interest of the team? Murphy is a football guy through and through and from everything I've read about him is well respected around the league. I haven't seen any reason not to trust him as far as hiring executive staff and good football people.

I doubt many GMs or whoever around the league would have done any differently. Just because Ted Thompson lost his edge and needed to be replaced doesn't mean you need to "blow everything up" outright. In hindsight MM couldn't turn it around and was ultimately let go but again that's hindsight.

If I have to blame one person for how everything went down it'd be Ted Thompson as at this point he should have been better prepared and had some kind of succession plan in place but instead he held on until he had to be forced out and from reports his overall communication even with his own staff was pretty poor the last couple years.

I didn't have much faith in Ted Thompson after I saw him attempt to speak a complete sentence as the new GM of the Packers.
It was very obvious that he was a poor communicator and poor communicators aren't generally good leaders.

When I took my youngest son to the"return to title town" celebration at Lambeau Field in 2011and Thompson referred to the Lombardi Trophy as the "Lambeau Trophy" I threw up in my mouth.
Thompson should have been fired right then and there.
He was never qualified to be anything more than a scout.
He's the reason the Green Bay Packers are where they are now.

Murphy also has a boss...we need to remember that. I don't who on the Executive Committee holds sway, but someone (or several people) does. If we set the way-back machine to 2017 EOS, and had Murphy walked in and said, "The best player in the league got hurt and we sucked, so now I want to fire not only the General Manager, but the Head Coach," a board meeting likely would have been held, and he would have been fired.

20/20 hindsight is always perfect.

What a complete load of uppity bullshit!

Maybe Murphy failed because he didn't fire everybody and hire all English majors to replace them that look good in suits so we can have a dog and pony show instead of focusing of football people.

There are a lot of legitimate things to hammer these guys and dislike them for, but this thread is full of bullshit excuses why not to like someone...

Can we please PLEASE go back to blaming people for things that...
1) They actually have done
2) They're not damned either way in a no win situation
3) Actually involved football

Cus right now, so sum up this thread so far, someone is bitching that single person should be put in charge of all meal ordering, Murphy basically does just that by putting Gute in charge of everything except dessert, then Murphy demonized as a horrible person when Gute ordered a salad as an appetizer and someone else saying Thompson is unqualified to eat because he used the wrong fork to eat said salad.

Wow, that's all I can say about your nonsensical post.
I certainly would have expected more from you.
I rarely bash other peoples opinions but, wow, where the hell did that come from.

Zero2Cool (22h) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (16-Apr) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (16-Apr) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers had fortunate last three drafts.

Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I think a dozen is what I need
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Go fund me for this purpose just might work. A dozen nurses show up at 1265 to provide mental health assistance.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : The manner in which he won it was just amazing and wonderful. First blowing the lead then getting back, then blowing it. But ultimately
Zero2Cool (12-Apr) : I'm guessing since the thumb was broken, he wasn't feeling it.
dfosterf (10-Apr) : Looking for guidance. Not feeling the thumb.
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : If they knew about it or not
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : I don't recall that he did which is why I asked.
Zero2Cool (10-Apr) : Guessing they probably knew. Did he have cast or something on?
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : Did they know that at the time or was that something the realized afterwards?
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Van Ness played most of season with broken thumb
wpr (9-Apr) : yay
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Mark Murphy says Steelers likely to protect Packers game. Meaning, no Ireland
Zero2Cool (8-Apr) : Struggling to figure out what text editor options are needed and which are 'nice to have'
Mucky Tundra (8-Apr) : *CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP*
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : WR who said he'd break Xavier Worthy 40 time...and ran slower than you
Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Who?
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Texas’ WR Isaiah Bond is scheduled to visit the Bills, Browns, Chiefs, Falcons, Packers and Titans starting next week.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Spotting ball isn't changing, only measuring distance is, Which wasn't the issue.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : The spotting of the ball IS the issue. Not the chain gang.
