Super Bowl is two words. How we still get this wrong, boggles my mind, lol. Then again, I see players say Greenbay so maybe I over estimate folks.

Anyhooters -- Here's what we have for interviews, right?

Today or Tomorrow - Joe Philbin
Friday - Josh McDaniels (And Brian Flores)
Saturday - Dan Campbell
Sunday - Matt LaFleur

At least the Lincoln Riley conjectures have terminated.

And can someone tell me why everyone is so high on LaFleur. The Titans have a very strong O line, a great running back, and a promising, QB. Nevertheless, they didn't exactly light it up this year offensively, especially against quality opponents...I'm not seeing it.

The Titans offense struggled because they basically didn't have a passing game, after losing their top 4 leaders in receptions from the year before, for different reasons (injuries, retirement, different team this year.... they had a WR and backup RB step up. This also includes missing their stud RT for half the season, as he played through injuries and struggled more than normal does...

Also the Titans led the NFL in the least amount of penalties, by 10 over 2nd and 3rd... and Titans finished with a 3rd down conversation percentage of 40% without a good passing threat. LaFleur spent 8 years with Kyle Shanahan and 5 years with Sean McVay, where they got the best out of Matt Ryan and Jared Goff, and the one year apart from them, he was the QB coach for the college freshman DeShone Kizer.

I'm not sure how he would do as a head coach, but the people around him, normally do quite well

This is only one of two guys I have read that link Adam Gase and the Packers. I forget the other guy.

Beast, thank you for that excellent argument in LaFleur’s favor. That not withstanding, correlation is not always causation....but it certainly doesn’t hurt.

I still think it’s McDaniels to lose, if he wants it.

Why did Belichek suck so bad in Cleveland? I don’t know. But he’s done a hell of a job in New England. Why did Pete Carroll sucks so bad in New York. He’s doing a hell of a job in Seattle.

As Zero has pointed out, Great men, and great coaches, learn from their mistakes and become better for it.

Seems to me that a fair number of people suck in Denver.

Rumors were flying that Gase was the frontrunner for the job, but I think it's telling that he still doesn't have an interview scheduled in Green Bay. Unless the Packers are just playing coy to throw other teams off the scent, this would seem to indicate to me that McDaniels is the favorite at this point.

Shortly after Josh McDaniels moved into his office at Dove Valley, he called in Cutler and his agent, Bus Cook, for a closed-door meeting. The story goes that McDaniels began with a 20-minute dissertation of his resume, how he'd worked his way up the ranks in New England to become Bill Belichick's right-hand man with the offense and how the team would have been nowhere the year before without his tutelage of backup Matt Cassel. He continued on with justification of his hiring by Bowlen.

After the perplexing recitation of accomplishments, McDaniels suddenly shifted gears.

He began to bash and berate Cutler and his game to the tune of a verbal flogging neither had ever witnessed. The expletive-laden diatribe went on for a few minutes, after which Cook stood up and told Cutler they were leaving. As they walked down the long hallway past Bowlen's office, Cutler turned to Bus and said, "Get me out of here. I don't care how you do it."

McDaniels has spoken about how he's grown since his time with the Broncos and, let's be serious, there are far too many negative stories surrounding his time in Denver for all of it to be made up.
