I still think that Pettine, Shaw, Harbaugh, or the Saints offensive coordinator are probably the best choices.

Why is there talk about Kliff Kingsbury? He got fired from his college coaching job and is an OC for USC.

Kingsbury also seemed to have trouble juggling the responsibilities of recruiting with running the team. The general consensus seems to be that he’s a schematic mastermind but isn’t quite ready to run a program. Perhaps a few more years working specifically with the offense might help grow his skillset.

Harbaugh said there is no chance of him leaving but he has been known to lie at times. Rumor has it one.team is planning on going after him hard, it's said to be the Jets, but the Jets say that's false.

I wonder why the Saints OC hasn't been a hot name.in years past, or does he just not want a head coaching job? Just seems like if he wanted one, he should of been interviewing for jobs in past years and hasn't.

- Pettine, he may like the opportunity and fashion the position in a manner that works for him
- Shaw, sometimes its not about the comfort of the money, it about stepping up and conquering a new world
- Harbaugh, anyone that can make Kaeperick look that good is worth exploring.
- Saints OC. Maybe Carmichael isn't a big self promoter. Maybe his agent keeps his mouth shut.

Third regarding Fitzgerald. A really good guy, very solid....competing at NW with his admissions standards can't be easy. Players love him. I don't know if we is ready, or wants to coach pro's. The nice thing about college is that you only have to deal with a problem for a maximum of 4 years. If he were the guy, he would likely keep Pettine. Also, you will hear this expression ad nauseam...
