Dave Shaw.

Maybe he would bring the functional athletic training philosophy with him, that reduced injuries at Stanford by 88%. Maybe the guys would stretch those hammies.

I think he would be a fantastic choice. But I just don’t see it happening.

The Packers are indeed one of the teams that Jay Glazer claims have considered buying Kliff Kingsbury out of his contract  and bringing him to the NFL.

Honestly the first group of coaches I mocked for the Packers was

Head Coach: Dave Toub, currently special teams coordinator, Kansas City Chiefs. Who has been one of the best ST coaches and has done it for the last two decades... remember Lovie Smith's Bear's special teams work? That was Dave Toub work.

Defensive coordinator: Mike Pettine because he has seemed to do great work (when most of his starters we're healthy) and said he doesn't want to be head coach again.

Offensive Coordinator: Kliff Kingsbury,.who is said to be a GREAT offensive mind but struggled with the administration parts.of being a head coach, including recruiting and defense, but on offense is amazing,.and has coached a.number.of guys that have become NFL QBs.

ST coordinator: Whom ever Dave Toub says, he's the ST ace!

But once Kingsbury was taken off the market, I sorta scrapped that idea,.as.we need an offensive guy and I'm looking at the Titans and Saints Offensive Coordinators for that...

There is also Josh McDaniels, but without speaking to him (or the people around him) I don't trust him, he's actions have kinda screwed the Broncos and Colts when they gave him chances to be a head coach. Maybe talking with him, he could get me to trust him, like Broncos, he was young and dumb, and with the Colts he simply realized he didn't like/trust the Colts owner (I can't blame him, as he has lied and done stupid stuff) and explain things away.

Patriots have a 1st round bye which means the Packers can interview McDaniels in two weeks. Let it happen.

Why would we want Josh McDaniels? He bottomed out the Broncos after shoving off two of their stars. He verbally accepted Colts job, then backed out when Patriots threw a truck load of money at him.

Why is there talk about Kliff Kingsbury? He got fired from his college coaching job and is an OC for USC.

I still think that Pettine, Shaw, Harbaugh, or the Saints offensive coordinator are probably the best choices.
