Dix was the best safety we had, we're pretty barren back there now.

Take away his interceptions and you wouldn't find many people saying he's any good.

Addition through subtraction.

A clean locker can be a tremendous motivator.

HHCD Did not live up to his potential

For Montgomery making stupid plays pouting should not be tolerated.

I am thrilled with these moves. Finally, there is some level of accountability.

If anything, I feel like his flaws have been magnified by lackluster pass rushing over the last few years, combined with some sub-par corner play.

He's a 2016 2nd team All-pro, he's the #3 safety according to PFF and the fact that he's worth a 4th to another team with just half a year left on his contract shows that people in the Redskins organisation think he's any good.

The more I think about it, the more this trade pisses me off, really. The only really good reason I can't imagine trading him like this, is if there's some locker room stuff involved... Something that wouldn't surprise anyone, I guess, with the way he's been talking about leaving for a while... Or if Josh Jones has somehow shown that he's the next great thing in the last 6 days, which seems highly unlikely to me.

Might as well say we gave him away. We got a 4th round pick that will probably be spent on a no name, no impact lineman.

On top of that, we just weakened an already weak spot on the team even worse. Throwing in the towel early I guess is what this is.

Newsflash, that is the market for Clinton Dix. No one wants to pay more than a fourth round draft pick for a guy who doesn’t show up every play and wants the money he is going to want next year.

Like I said, though, a 4th is a good fetch for a guy who has half a year left on his contract and a big deal coming up.

beast (8-Jan) : I missed it, sorry, but he got into the NFL Hall of Fame years before that
Zero2Cool (8-Jan) : Jones took his sweet ole time!
Zero2Cool (8-Jan) : Yeah, he's in the ring of honor, just saw video and his name is up there
Zero2Cool (8-Jan) : Didn't they have a thing in 2023 for Jimmy's ring of honor? I swear I saw it
beast (8-Jan) : Though if they're legitimately trying to re-sign MM, then it makes sense.
beast (8-Jan) : Jerry Jones still hasn't put Jimmy Johnson in the Ring of Honor, but he's in the NFL's Hall of Fame, Jones is petty
Mucky Tundra (8-Jan) : Unless the Cowboys are planning an extension, seems kinda petty
beast (8-Jan) : Cowboys denied Bears request
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : From what I'm reading, MM is under contract through the 14th of January; after that he's free game
Zero2Cool (6-Jan) : McCarthy let go or not extended??

Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : That might be it for the Vikings
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Oh so the refs do know what intentional grounding is
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : what the hell was that Goff?! Not much pressure and he just air mails it to Harrison
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : They really need to to get rid of the auto first down for illegal contact
Martha Careful (6-Jan) : watching the Vikings and Lions it's understandable why they swept the Packers. So much better product
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Even when GB got pressure he was throwing darts; vs no pressure on that last pass he just air mails an open guy
