Who's saying the Bears are going to be bottom feeders? You said everyone, and I know I never said it.
Bears were in top 10 in scored against (I think) and this is going to make their defense better, so will the LB Roquan Smith. Their OL and QB are still flaws. They need a QB who doesn't lose them the game. They don't need the QB to win the game with that defense, they just need to be efficient. I wouldn't be surprised if the Bears finish ahead of Lions in the division.
I just don't think this is a good long-term deal for a team like the Bears. Then again, I didn't see the Rams turning Jared Goff into performing like he did last season.
