Let me try that again...

I'm not sure I believe the Packers offered a straight up two 1st round picks... maybe something like the Bears, where there is two 1st round picks, but they also get something more than Mack back.

But sounds like the Raiders didn't believe any defensive player was worth $20 million per year and they wanted someone who could potentially have a top 16 pick next year... and felt like the Bears had a better chance of that, than their other offers.

When they say half the league, I'm assuming they are referring to the half that aren't already paying stupid numbers to their qb

The Bears are still a year or two away from being playoff contenders, by the time their QB starts coming into his own is about the time they'll be wondering how to pay him with Mack on the books (and approaching 30 y/o).

Of all the teams to trade for Mack Chicago made about the least amount of sense to me.
