I think some stating that they don't have a "perfect" Christmas would make those that do appreciate what they have even more.
And I have a Christmas spirit! I appreciate what Jesus did for me!
(Sorry if I put "religion" into Christmas)

A Sports Forum, IMO, is just not the correct place for it.

As far as gifts, food and drink, decorating, or any other non-religion related activity associated with the holiday season, I try to spread the good will that the season should foster. A "perfect' Christmas is reserved, IMO, for Children and their magical time of life. If as an adult one can't make merry over the holidays, may you enjoy a Happy New Year.

Perhaps one of the following will fit a last minute gift need.

A coffee mug
A bottle of Liquor
A leather belt
A calendar for the New Year
A new bathroom rug
A new bed pillow
Kitchen Towels
A Slow Cooker (Crock Pot )
A Classic DVD Movie
Winter House Slippers
Glad or Ziplock storage containers

Happy Holidays

Last year I bought her a new vacuum cleaner and she got pissed at me, now she sets it as a trap at the top of the stairs apparently hoping I'll trip over it.

I just can't win in the gift department!

My wife is 34. I wonder how she would feel if I bought her a cemetery plot for Christmas. 😁

A complaint about cold feet = new warm house slippers
Remembering that someone likes a cartoon character = a coffee cup with the character on it
Stepping inside of another's home and seeing candles lit = a scented candle would go over well
and so on.

Not knowing each personal situation, I can only post from my own. Personal gifts take some thought, but not necessarily a lot of money. I set a Christmas budget and work to stay within it.

I wish all, even those that dislike me, a most enjoyable holiday season.

Smokey....I sure don't dislike you.
Not even a little.
Even if sometimes I disagree with you.
I don't push my beliefs on anyone, but I won't deny them, either. I only share them as a hope that someone might decide to see my side of it, and might choose to believe in Jesus.
Christmas used to be about Him, more then about presents. The whole idea of giving to others was based on Him, giving for us. The fact that it has become more of a commercial thing, for me at least, doesn't change it's true reason.
If someone doesn't choose to believe as I do, that's their choice. I don't say they can't choose that direction.
I wish all a Merry Christmas, and a happy new year!

I think too many people are so centered upon themselves, that the larger parts of the holidays gets lost in the snow.
