Speed is still speed.

I believe the best thing I heard to explain it is they have to keep their weight over their feet more in order to get the traction and that doesn't lend itself to being fast.

Enough of of this crap about what is neglected on a Packers forum. Stop. My gosh is so self serving. A forum is you. Think about that before trying to push down any forum.

As for Brett Hundley. He should be throwing over 70% completion because the coach isn't calling plays that have WR more than 10/
-15 yards down field. Sarcasm there.

We don't use speed to stretch defenses. That's why we don't get separation from all WR like we do with Davante Adams. It's bad offense scheme when the happens. You need to pull the safety back with route concepts. We discussed this very thing back in 2015 or maybe last season.

Jeff Janis and Trevor Davis have speed. Why don't we use it?

On Nov.6th Hundley will walk onto Lambeau field with a healthy 1st team GB Offense. We know just how Aaron Rodgers would fare under such a circumstance , but how Hundley will preform will depend on how prepared and physically ready he is . I don't expect him to be Rodgers, yet in the final analysis he will be judged on weather GB wins or looses.

I wish him and the Packers all the best !

Just had a chance to watch the first half, I thought Hundley did very well. He missed a couple shots deep, but I don't expect him to be perfectly in sync yet at this point.

He looks pretty good so far.

Ok, second half he looks better than I thought he would.

First drive got stalled, because of a strip sack. Couldn't overcome the 3rd and 18.

Second drive they drove all the way down, couldn't connect to Davante on a deep pass. Good coverage though.

Dude knows his reads, where the ball must go hot. Also, looks way better scrambling outside the pocket than I thought he would.

Third drive starting now, Trevor David had a really nice return that got called all the way back to like the 5. So that put them in the hole to start.

They're running a lot of read option shit with Jones.

Ok, third drive was stalled, because Bakhtiari pulled out and didn't block the first guy, who nailed Jones for a loss. Then they didn't convert on 3rd and 9. Not on Hundley. Followed by Josh Jones penalty on the ensuing punt, out of our own end zone.

One could argue that Mike was calling plays "not to lose" here late in the game. Ball control is going heavily to New Orleans.

Yup, then here he misses Bennett/Cobb badly and New Orleans drains the clock.

Dude looked much better than I thought he would. I think he can pull it together. Only watched offense tho, so I didn't get the full context of the game.

NOTE: Hundley only had 87 yards passing, but overall we had almost 200 yards rushing. Then also there were 3 DPIs against New Orleans. I mean even so, he should have more passing yards, but imo it suggests the performance was not as bad as it looked.

A completion rate of 60% (according to NFL stats the #15 QB is at 64%. I ignored the first 6 who had 1 pass/ 1 completion.)
A QB rating of 90. Same issue. The mid-line is 91.5 and I rounded down.
Avg 200 yards per game. He's off to a slow start but the bar is set so low that he should be able to do it. # 28 QB is Jacoby Brissett and he is at 201.3
Avg 1.5 passing TDs a game.

26/38 245 yards.

105.92 passer rating.

This does NOT include the TD he ran in. Include that and he's at 118.75. Sure he had some garbage time, but he also had guys getting mugged with no penalties and several drops.

Overall, when ALLOWED TO THROW the damn ball, he looked ok. Can he get better? Yeah, what he needs is REPS. I mean REAL reps, where he's allowed to throw the ball for more than -5 yards every single damn time.

What are you talking about? By definition you can't add a rushing touchdown into a passer rating.

If speed was the main determining factor, Trevor Davis and Jeff Janis would be starters.
