I cannot wait to only have 5 on the roster. I'm so tired of how many of this forum are so infatuated by the wr's on the tail end of the roster/practice squad.

If Janis is playing STs like he did two years ago, then I don't think you can cut him... because he was a game changer on coverage units. But last year he dropped down to above average for some reason (maybe due with his broken hand injury?), and rookies Safeties Brice and Evans stepped up and did pretty well on coverage units as well... and they could possible be part of a group that replaces Janis (if he's not back up at game changer ability of 2015).

But the Packers top 5 ST coverage unit guys for 2016 were Janis, Brice, Evans, Fackrell and Elliott. And Fackrell, Elliott and Brice have all sorta gone from 3rd team back-ups to important 2nd team back-ups... which might be leaving just Janis and Evans as full time STs. Of course Joe Thomas might get more playing time on STs again if the other ILBers and SS/ILBers are healthy.

All that leads me to think Cobb may be trade bait.  Not that I expect or desire it but he's getting big $$$ for a third option at WR.  Adams is going to want to be paid next season.
