Gutekunst said 5th round pick Cole Madison, on the reserve/did not report list, is still dealing with a personal matter and he has no idea when, or if he'll report to camp.

Rumor has it that he's been grappling with an acute relapse of bipolar disorder. Having witnessed firsthand what a devastating disease this can be, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the young guy.

My sister in law is bipolar so I know how difficult it can be.

If he just changed his diet/exercise regiment and it led to this he probably will be fine in a few weeks. If his previous medication just stopped working id be much more nervous. Sometimes it can take a year or two to find a medication regimen that works and dial it in.

I don’t know how many of you remember Packer player Lionel Aldridge. He really had serious mental problems.
My wife actually worked with him for awhile at a local car dealership. He was really a nice guy she told me. But then he just disappeared one day.
He had one of his super bowl rings stolen right off his hand when he was sleeping in a doorway in downtown Milwaukee.
