He definitely doesn't deserved to be the least paid player on our roster, but these agents stealing from us is ridiculous.

Interesting article ... ya I agree should get some more money but a team has got to pay all of its players; ie everyplayer cant expect to be paid big $

He is definately no al harris or woodson thou; I remember when he filled in and ok some of the plays he would be there and break up a pass etc but many times the pass would easily get there or he would miss his man.

Open the door and let him go or trade Harris (only do this to save some cash for our FA next year). I would not allow this kid out of his contract after starting seven games, 5 int., 2 forced fumbles, tied for thirteenth in tackles and now him and his agent think he is an all-star. I like Tramon, but young pup needs to play out his contract and make the money when it is his time.

With the amount of cap space we have, I wouldn't have a problem giving Williams a raise, but not to the extent Grant got last year. Grant was a starter. Williams is a nickel corner who has done a pretty good job in that role and stepped up when asked to.

The big problem is that he will be able to start somewhere else, so he will want starter money, I'm afraid.

I mean, he's young, he's still progressing it seems and there's quite a need for corners. I can see a hold-out coming here and maybe even a trade to the Bengals, Chiefs, Dolphins, Falcons, even the Patriots.

I hope he'll understand that he's a nickel-corner here though and that he'll eventually get his chance. Maybe accept a deal with a bit less money but for just one year. I mean, he can show was he got, still make a couple of million dollars and if he doesn't pan out or doesn't want to be here if Harris & Woodson will come back for another year, he's free to go.

EVERYONE in the NFL thinks THEY deserve trillions of dollars.
It's crazy.

The thing is, he has played out his contract. Packers still have his rights, but Tramon has indeed played out his contract.

I was thinking a deal along of the lines of 2 years/3.5 million. 1.5 million base this year and 2 million next. Maybe throw in a 500K signing bonus or something to bring the deal to 4 million total. For a guy who will still be a backup and has only accrued two years of NFL playing time, that would be a solid deal imo and would take him through his RFA year as well. That way, if he's really proven himself, then he can get paid like a starter.

Just our luck though, he's going to want a lot more than that. He deserves a bit of a raise imo, but hasn't earned Harris/Woodson money quite yet.

He should get a deal equal to the top nickel corner in the league with the incentives that when he becomes the starter, his contract is elevated. Then if, fingers crossed, he becomes a pro bowl player, he is payed accordingly.

This contract stuff is not that difficult excet when the 3 jackasses (Snyder, Jones, and Davis) destroy common sense with the contracts they hand out like candy for marginal players.

I have no problem with him wanting more money. He should not be the lowest paid player on the team. Some of you are acting like he is asking for 8 million a year, he really isn't. Give him a 2 year/$5 million deal to tide him over.

I really can't blame him, the Packers asked him to do a lot last year and they only offer him $460 thousand. A player is supposed to lay down for a franchise when that same franchise can cut the player the next day if they wanted to.

Besides, he hasn't said that he is gonna holdout anyway...

dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic

Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
