I also thought the reaction time of the DB's and corners was better coming up on the run. We actually busted up plays being strung out to either sidelines....at least when KGB wasn't getting his butt handed to him.
I actually saw one run play around his side where he got 0 penetration and he took off down the line of scrimmage which of course was a positive run for them. I mean you have to get into the backfield SOME and make the back go around you or cut it back up. I was looking right at him when the play went that way and said " well, that's a first down". It was.
The corners and safeties though got up there quickly and shut much of the outside stuff down. I think that is something Tramon has had to work hard at because he's so intent to cover he doesn't get back upfield on runs like I think he WILL do as he get's in there more.
That is if the DE over there does ANYTHING to help.
