I like Lacy......if he could just remain HEALTHY!
He's either out of shape, or gets hurt. You can't depend on someone that's always injured.
If he can stay on the field, and out of McDonald's, he would be a great guy to keep.

Datone has had only one year standing up, and he looked pretty decent, all things considered. I make him an offer. He's still ascending as an OLB.

I think Mason Crosby pitch for resigning LS Brett Goode is important... Crosby basically said, he's never seen Goode mess up a single snap... not even in practice... I don't know if what Crosby said is true, but I don't remember ever seeing a bad one from Goode and I saw multiple bad snaps in a couple of different games this season. A good long snapper is important to have.

I could see the Packers/Lacy agreeing to a one year prove it type deal like Perry got... with some clauses about being in shape or under a certain weight etc etc.

RB Christine Michael has some nice physical skill, but I still have big questions about him, like why didn't the Packers ever seem to fully trust him to give him more chances? or more drives? It just felt like, they didn't mentally trust him or something... and maybe it's simply because he came in mid season and isn't a fast learner... though some rumors suggested he never fully picked up the Seahawks system (audibles/blocking/other stuff) even after years being there. So I'd like to see him back, but I think there is a reason no one has invested that much into him since the draft... I would want to know more (which the Packers surely do since he has been on the team)... but I'd want the RB coach opinion.

Also Datone might be had at a good price and MM did have very nice things to say about him after the Seahawks game... maybe Datone just needs more time at the new position, I think I'd try to get a muliyear deal at a cheap rate.

Keep all the RFAs and ERFA other than maybe Tripp (I'm okay with keeping him, just maybe not at the RFA tag price... offer him minimum).

1. Jared Cook - First TE to make an impact in this offense since Jermichael Finley.

2. J.C. Tretter - Place at guard to replace T.J. Lang, who I think will depart.

3. Micah Hyde - Swiss Army Knife (Special Teams, Slot CB, & Safety)

4. Eddie Lacy - The Packers need balance going into next season.

5. Jayrone Elliot - I think it's time for him to emerge.

6. T.J. Lang - Turns 30 in September, and the price might be too steep. I rather spend the money on a free agent CB.

7. Nick Perry - I worry about about him after he gets his payday.

8. Julius Peppers - Leadership in the locker room. What does he offer on the field?

9. Datone Jones - Maybe give him a one-year deal?

10. Christine Michael - A backfield trio of Lacy, Montgomery, and Michael wouldn't be too bad.

11. Don Barclay - I honestly don't care.

90% agree with you but I'd probably move Elliot above Hyde, seemed like every time a defensive play happened he was on the field and 2 seasons ago he just had a tendency to make a big play even if they appeared to be flukes. I'm overly optimistic about his ability and this defense NEEDS players to make plays even if they are constantly flukes.

IMO, this is the most relevant and currently the most important thread in the Packershome Forum right now. According to the Acme Packing Co. site, GB will have 20 free agents from the 2016 roster to deal with. With Shields and Starks gone , it may now be just 18 players.

Porkey88 has the right idea, but I'd like to read your's . Keep, trade, release, Many decisions that the Packers will have to make .

My question with the idea of Tretter replacing Lang is can we Trust Tretter to stay healthy? Lang gets injured is able to keep playing, Tretters injuries have taken him out for a good while.

Plus it would be nice to keep both, Lang could stay at RG while Tretter and/or Spriggs could challenge Taylor at LG.

Might not be possible.

I think you have to go with youth first, get Tretter signed, then work on Lang.

Lang may end up testing the FA waters, if that happens, hopefully he ends up in Green Bay.

Barclay becomes important if Tretter does start somewhere other than Center on the line.

Barclay would become the backup at guard and center.

The dominoes will start to fall soon.
