Tretter is ill suited for G. He's a tackle or C but not a G. Can't imagine the thought of him being the replacement for Lang, if he walks.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

My question with the idea of Tretter replacing Lang is can we Trust Tretter to stay healthy? Lang gets injured is able to keep playing, Tretters injuries have taken him out for a good while.

Plus it would be nice to keep both, Lang could stay at RG while Tretter and/or Spriggs could challenge Taylor at LG.

Tretter is injury prone, and that is a valid concern. He has played well when he's been on the field, though. We forget that he had an excellent 2016 training camp, and flat out earned a role in the starting lineup.

Another option is kicking Bulaga inside and going with Jason Spriggs at right tackle. Spriggs was a second-round pick, after all. However, Bulaga is so dominate at right tackle that I would hate to do that.

In the end, I think Ted Thompson will see that he has options and that will make Lang expendable in his eyes.

IMO, this is the most relevant and currently the most important thread in the Packershome Forum right now. According to the Acme Packing Co. site, GB will have 20 free agents from the 2016 roster to deal with. With Shields and Starks gone , it may now be just 18 players.

Porkey88 has the right idea, but I'd like to read your's . Keep, trade, release, Many decisions that the Packers will have to make .

[cheers]
