Your response is illogical. You will never KNOW that it will be better. It will ALWAYS be a roll of the dice. I understand you want the odds in your favor. Who doesn't? Even if they appear to be in your favor it is not a guarantee. IE: See Ted's draft bust record in the first round. All those guys appeared safe picks for him because he is conservative and is horrified to make a mistake so he plays it as safe as anyone which I'm guessing what you love. He still fails over and over because there are no guarantees. If an org could know then there would be no Cleveland Browns. Honestly, I'm not trying to rip you but think about what you typed to me. It makes no sense. So, you only want to make a change if you KNOW it's going to be better? My previous post already covered the FACT that you WILL NOT KNOW whether it's better or worse until well down the road. With your way of thinking there would never be any marriages in this country. NOBODY would KNOW that the person they're about to marry is going to produce "for better" or "for worse".

That's obviously not KNOWING. But that's also not saying dump McCarthy without KNOWING I've got a shot at somebody better.

That, in my opinion, is the height of folly--to say dump McCarthy when we've reached the NFC championship game 2 out of the 3 past years, without at least having someone in mind that you suspect is better and at least some idea that they are available and / or interested.

When I asked you in the other thread who you wanted to replace McCarthy with YOU HAD NO NAMES WHATSOEVER. That, to me, is what makes no sense.

What team, person, entity, etc. would ever make a change without having a good expectation it was going to be better? That's illogical, again. Seriously, think about your statement. So, the Packers are going to fire MM and you're worried that they might not be expecting the next person to do better? Why fire MM, then? That would be wholly illogical. You're hedging leaning into the I want to KNOW category, again, and you admitted you can't know. You can know it's time for a change, though, and I think not firing Dom and his loyalty issue to his buddies despite performance means he has to go. We're not in the NFC Championship because of Mike McCarthy. That is folly to believe that. We're in the championship game(s) because of Aaron Rodgers. When he's on fire we're close to unstoppable...when he's not, well, there's Atlanta for you.

Names? I've always promoted Jim Harbaugh. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that guy. Jon Gruden. I've spoken of both of those guys on several occasions. I want a truly tough, not fake tough, HC. One whose actions and words are tough just not his occasional words.

The height of folly? Really? Did you look at where MM was when we went and plucked him? I just edited his WikiPedia page because it was inaccurate. Said his O was last in points and yards. I corrected it to ready it was 30th in points and dead last in yards. I like the truth. I like it to be fair and accurate.

It's cute to throw names like Jon Gruden, Bill Cowher and other guys who we all know are done coaching in the NFL. It's safe to say them because you'll never be proven wrong. Where are your balls at? Let's say Kyle Shanahan since we already know he's not going to be a Packers HC too. Another safe name to drop.

What about Jim Bob Cooter? Sean McDermott? Bob Sutton? George Edwards? Paul Guenther?

Chew on that.

Regime change is easy to call for. What's harder is finding replacements that are improvements. Who are your replacements?

Mike McCarthy has run his course here. Dom has run his course. Are you really more concerned with who is next vs. taking the risk on fresh ideas? I'm not. There is no guarantee any coach, DC, is going to work out here regardless of pedigree. The thing is to try. You have no idea what plays will work or moves during a game but you have to try things to find out. I want to find out what's behind door #2.

So. You're sticking with illogical. We moved on from Sherman with MM. Not sure anyone was all that fired up for MM just glad Sherman was gone.

Top half. Not best but top half. This aim high approach is lost on Packers nation. At least the Niners are getting a guy from the 1st overall offense and SB participant. Funny to see one of our fans questioning Shanahan when our guy was at complete opposite end when hired.

Shoot low will always be promulgated here I'm afraid.

I love statistics, but when they aren't objectively used (which is freaking hard) they are just a clever way to lie to brainwash those reading it.

The Packers won't fail to win another Super Bowl. I'm going to play Madden to prove that!! ufda, you wanna join in?
