Question was why should the pack win the SB ...

Well - besides the 'any given sunday equation'

- Nice run defense and pass rush along with ok DB coverage
- A great QB if not the best one going forth
- Great receivers and some good RBs
- A kick butt pass blocking Oline
- MM play caller
- good ST this year
- A TE that isnt short and inept

that about covers it

I'm not going to consider it a trophy headed for the case until the last second has ticked off of the 4th Quarter of the SB and we've recreated either SB XXXI (where we beat the Patriots) or SB XLV (where we beat the Steelers).

The Packers have weathered a boatload of injuries, both offense (Lacy, Starks, etc) and defense (Shields, etc). The fact that we're in the final four is a testament to the players, coaches, and GM on the team.

I do however have to agree that this team has achieved beyond what most would have expected 2 months ago. I was hopeful, but not confident that they would go on a crazy streak that would carry them to the NFCC game and possibly beyond. Mike put his big boy pants on, Aaron found his MVP level of play, and everyone else seemed to fall in line right behind them. Given the insane injuries this team has seen - it is hard to be disappointed in their achievements (although a SB win would make it all the more impressive.)

Two more games to go - time to go roast some bird!

I have nothing against those that do, but I don't dare think that far ahead. I'm a take it one game at a time type. But I do enjoy reading other people's perspectives and projections.

I quoted your 'should' statement, made my comments about why each of the other teams could make the same comment, and then made a comment on when I thought it would be appropriate to make a 'there should be another trophy headed for the case' statement. Which for me is after the last second has ticked off the clock in the SB and we're ahead.

In my opinion, with the state our defense is in it's foolish to do otherwise. They're ok at the start of the game, but wear down as the game goes on, and that's when the creases/seams start opening up. We got up 21-3 on Dallas, but they outscored us 28-10 the rest of the way (until the final 35 seconds).

We certainly can't afford to fall behind.

dfosterf (4-May) : FYI civilian companies swipe the S2 designation from the military. S2 is the intelligence branch up to brigade level. G2 is division level.
dfosterf (4-May) : Google it. Make sure to tack NFL on it or you will get the military meaning
Zero2Cool (4-May) : S2?
beast (4-May) : Seems like the S2 has a love/hate relationship with professional scouts.
beast (4-May) : In theory, the S2 test how quickly a QBs brain can solve game like issues and how quickly they can do it.
dfosterf (4-May) : Are you gentlemen and at least one lady familiar with the S2 cognition
Zero2Cool (4-May) : Maybe there isn't an issue.
beast (4-May) : NFL really needs to fix their position labeling issue, but I don't think they care
Zero2Cool (1-May) : Packers did not activate the fifth-year options for linebacker Quay Walker, with the goal of signing him to a contract extension.
Zero2Cool (1-May) : Matthew Golden spoke with Randall Cobb before draft. Looked like chance encounter.

Zero2Cool (30-Apr) : Packers are exercising the fifth-year option on DT Devonte Wyatt, locking in a guaranteed $12.9M for the 2026 season.

dfosterf (30-Apr) : Luke Elzinga Punter Oklahoma stil unsigned. Green Bay has been mentioned as good fit

beast (27-Apr) : Yeah, but also some of the wording suggestions Jax only pranked called the QB, not the others... and if he had an open spreadsheet & 3 calls
beast (27-Apr) : Thank goodness he's not leaving the Turtle in the Red Tide
Mucky Tundra (27-Apr) : Cowboys 1st round pick Tyler Booker will indeed be bringing his pet turtle to Dallas with him
Mucky Tundra (27-Apr) : that contained all prospects info and contact
Mucky Tundra (27-Apr) : beast, according the Falcons statement Jax came across it on an ipad. If I had to guess, probably an open spread sheet or something
