despite having Aaron Rodgers at QB between 2011-20___, who will get the blame?

If they are being honest, 98% of Packer fans would admit that they expected the Packers to win a second Super Bowl within 5 years (assuming Aaron Rodgers stayed healthy) after the 2010 Super Bowl run.

It has now been 6 seasons without even another Super Bowl appearance and it took an unbelievable run just to reach the playoffs this season.

Aaron has gotten so desperate that he is now publicly pleading for Ted to go "all in." Anyone think that is going to happen?

I don't mean to distract those getting excited about the next crop of undrafted free agents or who are sitting up late contemplating the next Datone Jones or Damarious Randall that is about to be added to the defense.

But for those who understand that the Pack are, as currently operated, destined to not win another Super Bowl, who do you think will ultimately be held principally responsible for this failure?

Will it be: (A) Ted Thompson, (B) Mike McCarthy, (C) Aaron Rodgers, (D) Dom Capers, (E) Someone else?

Rich...if yesterday, and all the days after all of our failures are any indication. There will be no blame at all. There will be nothing but praise and pride about all the playoff appearances and the cries that we weren't Cleveland. The decade will be hailed as one where we won about as many regular season games as any other franchise meaning we're really super successful, because, that is how success is measured by most Packers fans. Championships are not something that matter when it comes to speaking to a successful franchise to our fanbase. That's why we get to see what we see year after year and there is no pressure or urgency to be any better than the good we already are.

Your question is excellent. I'm so sorry it's just so misplaced here. Expect nothing but rationalizations and blow back for even asking. I suppose you'll be told how hard it is to win in this league, etc. It's going to be a 3 decade span where we'll likely have 3 SB appearances and 2 Lil' Vinny's. Wow, what a haul! Nevermind in NE, Tom Brady, alone, not Brett and Aaron combined, will be in his SEVENTH SuperBowl in February but you'll be shamed to dare bring that up, too.

Sure, those early draft picks may have helped, but lets be real. Most players are not that far apart in talent and its the coaching staff that utilizes their talent and maximizes their abilities while coaching them up.

We don't have Nick Collins elite closing speed and smarts to cover up the shortcomings of the defensive scheme. Yeah, holding onto Mason Crosby was a good move, sure. But the loyalty to Dom Capers is costing this team a lot of potential. (just my opinion)

I believe if we had Wade Philips from 2011 and on, we would have two Super Bowl wins more than we do now.

If I'm going to play the blame game, I'm solely pointing the finger at Dom Capers. I'm also going to point a huge finger at the Strength and Conditioning staff. Yes, most injuries are bad luck, but I believe (could be wrong) a lot of hamstring pulls, soft tissue injuries could be prevented with extensive stretching and core muscle building.

Ted Thompson is at the top, so people take the easy way out and say him. It's not him. The talent is there.

Mike McCarthy is the head coach, so people want to say its him. It's not him. The offense is good to great.

The defense in an offensive driven league is vastly sub-par.

The lack of play makers on defense, and the injury riddled offense AND defense this year.
Had the Dallas game gone into overtime, I truly believe we would have lost.
The fast start was what gave us a shot at winning that game.
We sucked in Atlanta, in ALL points.
Ted needs to go, and a guy given the reins that will bring in some FA's to put us over the top.
Young guys are great to build your team, but doing it every year?
He let all our DB's go, and look what happened?
Not willing to pay them, and it cost us a SB birth.

I think the bare minimum we need a new defensive staff. I haven't a name in the hat to choose from. I just want sound tackling and ability to adapt. If they could figure out schemes to get pressure, huge, huge bonus in my book.

I know we have had a plethora of injuries, but so have other teams. What about 2014, we were so healthy and still didn't make it. I just believe the defensive staff is the culprit for the failures. You probably aren't going to win many games giving up 51, 37, 45, 23, 28, 26 and 44 points in the playoffs. That's Dom Capers record with Packers.

Zero2Cool (16h) : he giving up his win business?
beast (19-May) : Speaking of Woodson, sounds like he'll be a minority owner (0.1%) of the Browns
Mucky Tundra (15-May) : Zero, regarding Woodson, that'd why I find the timing with Williams peculiar
