We applied our randomization algorithm in the 4th quarter. The prevent defense almost prevented our win and boy we looked bad, the Bears are bad but they took it personal. If I were Fox I would have tried a fake FG down 24-27, that would have been a sweet way to destroy a rival team. But Fox was Fox and we have been lucky to face a string of horrible QBs and coaches at the Bears in the last few years (ages?)
Here we go:
The Glass Half Full:
- Ty Montgomery: Fantastic game, he has power and determination and he is smart to read the blocks correctly, we have a fantastic weapon in this kind, he can become the best NFL player in the next few seasons.
- Ha Ha Clinton Dix: He got his bearings right down there, awareness for the routes and the ball gave us two critical picks. Very good game even if he had a lot of problems tackling.
- D. Bakthiari: Probably the best LT in the NFL at this moment, he is just impossible to pass, watch a replay of the game and you will see the left side of our line is rock solid and that leads me to the next player.
- L. Taylor: Blockalicius, every single block was perfect and he opened several important holes for Ty.
- A. Rodgers: Excellent game even injured, mistake-free football and that pass to Jordy to win the game was beautiful.
- J. Thomas: Our best MLB in this game , he was good against the run and good in coverage.
The Glass Half Empty:
- Dropante Adams: Ridiculous, two TD passes in his hands, both dropped. This really can't happen.
- D. Randall: Horrible game, it is clear he can't tackle, doesn't have the power nor the technique to bring anyone down, and he was also very bad in coverage.
- J. Ryan: Very bad game for Jake, even ignoring the critical penalty he was bad tackling and was a non-factor the whole game.
- Q. Rollins: He was slightly better than Randall but he is still not a pure CB, I don't see proper technique for man to man coverage, he gives a lot of room and doesn't react quickly enough to the pass.
- C. Matthews: He is playing injured but he is a non-factor even if playing only third downs, I think this is on Capers.
- J. Schum: We were lucky the field position wasn't critical because Schum sucked in this game, minimal hang time and bad distance in all his punts.
- K. Clark and C. Ringo: I could have given this to the whole pass rush but Daniels was frequently double-teamed and Datone was ok. Clark and Ringo lacked power and all our blitzes were just too slow to get to the QB.
I've excluded Micah Hyde from both lists he was utterly useless in coverage but saved the game with that deflection I think that was enough to break even.
