I'm always amused at the opposition in this forum to the idea of getting a top tier talent for a passing offense like ours. It's like they want us to try and succeed with lessor talent to prove some kind of point. Mind boggling stupidity in my opinion, but hey, they apparently have a point to make.

What's idiotic is people thinking players that good are easy to find and get on your team. Not a single person on this forum would be opposed to us drafting a player as good as Calvin Johnson or Julio Jones but it can be years before a player that good is even in the draft and even then that player isn't usually available to us.

It's much easier for one 6'5" speedster superstar to get injured than it is for 3 very good but not great guys to get injured, no?

Lots of coaches struggle when their rosters get decimated.

Don't put all your eggs in one basket.

Banking on 3rd to 5th string players upping themselves to 2nd string talent when the shit hits the fan instead of getting creative.

Or you know, trying the occasional slant. Or stealing the T shirt cannon and shooting rodgers if he has the ball after 10 seconds.

As for the topic (which we should get back to, ahem) the Packers are in a good position where they do not need to reach with desperation for any particular position. Of course the Packers have some soft spots ILB. (depending on how many snaps the position gets), future TE (sorry Richard Rodgers, I've moved on) and also a Punter. Personally, I would really like to have a home run threat out of the backfield and STFU about Randall Cobb or Ty Montgomery being just that because neither is nor will be! 🤣 I want a true burner back there.

Get you the best FOOTBALL player at your slot and scheme around your talent. If the Packers do this, they will be Super Bowl Champions.
