Several points:
1. I hate the "I'm offended" meme. Anyone else here old enough to remember the "sticks and stones" refrain?
2. Feel free to call me names anytime you want, Dakota. Anyone else who is tempted to call me names, feel free to, too. :)
3. Compared to what each of us really deserves as the result of our sins, being called a naughty name, or a thousand naughty names, is so trivial as to be laughable.
4. Obviously, I'm also an asshole.

Anyway, Wade the only thing I don't like about you is having to read novels on something you could have said in a paragraph. But that's my problem because I'm really lazy with the few entertainment hours I have for PH. But you knew that.

As for this teams needs, we have 4 stand out players: Rodgers, Matthews, Nelson, and Sitton. The rest of the team could be improved upon. No needs? Give me a break. Who came up with this topic?

You make the mistake of thinking I give a damn about those things. I don't think I used any names. So sorry if you feel offended. 😂

As the topic clearly states, "notable needs", are what is being focused on here. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize the point being made if we just remove our heads from asses for a minute to read before worrying about what we're going to spout off with.

I think depth behind the 22 starters is more concerning than the majority of the 22 starters.

OFFENSE
QB - Aaron Rodgers
RB - Eddie Lacy (post p90x)
WR1 - Jordy Nelson
WR2 - Randall Cobb
WR3 - Davante Adams (fingers crossed)
TE - Jared Cook (fingers crossed)
LT - David Bakhtiari
LG - Josh Sitton
C - Corey Linsley
RG - T.J. Lang
RT - Bryan Bulaga

If that offensive unit stays healthy, it's one helluva unit. The depth beyond those starters is very questionable to say the least. Hell, two of the starters are questionable.

DEFENSE
DE - Letroy Guion
NT - Mike Pennel
DT - Mike Daniels
LOLB - Clay Matthews
MLB - Jake Ryan
ROLB - Julius Peppers
LCB - Damarious Randall
RCB - Sam Shields
NB - Quiten Rollins
SS - Morgan Burnett
FS - Ha'Sean Clinton-Dix

The weak spot on defense has to be the middle linebacker Jake Ryan. If the Packers can add some DL depth to form a wickedly powerful defensive line, the linebackers will produce better.

Agree wholly with last paragraph. And I will not be surprised at all if Sitton is gone after this year. If he has another year like last year, the Pack might be able to afford him. On the other hand, if he has another year like last year, they'll be down to 3 stand out players.

You heard it here first: Ted will choose to spend big bucks to keep Bahktiari. And let both Sitton and Lang depart.

That doesn't mean we're not awfully average at a lot of positions, though.

We do "need" some guys on the Dline.

Raji retired, Datone moved to elephant and Pennell is gonna be suspended for the first .25 of the season.

Fortunately this draft is deep in that area.

I had originally listed Billings and Austin Johnson as guys I liked, but Micheal Rodney pointed out that we've got two guys (Guion and Pennell) who can play nose, so we have more of a "need" outside. That's true. Especially since Dom mainly uses a 2-4 scheme anyway.

dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
