Wow, I couldn't help but notice the name of the island behind Brett in that picture that hazer posted.....lmao.

Anyway, I'll miss him. Arguably one of the best QBs of all time.

Crap, that'll be at 00:00.

Hopefully they'll have some kind of missed program stuff so you can see it later on.

Really gonna miss the guy. Would be funny if he anounced that he wants to be released and joins the Vikings... or worse, this is one big charade to get released by the Jets after they get a new QB so he can join the Vikings and kick our ass!

In all seriousness, I'm gonna miss his play. I'm still in doubt if I want him to retire. On one side I don't want his legacy screwed, or see him play at a low level. On the other side, I'd love to see him have another great season. Get his records secure, gaining the consecutive starts record, just seeing him play 16 more games.

I dont expect Brett to be back in Green Bay any time soon or anytime with Ted Thompson in the front office. The stuff he said about what Ted Thompson did was the truth you can't deny that. Ship him to the Jets because they were a bad team and the Packers won't play them. Best of Luck Brett lets go hunting lol.

Maybe we can retire his jersey in about 3 years.

It's the truth why cause Brett said it?? Perhaps the truth was that Farve truly did not want to play for the Packers ne more. He just couldnt articulate it without alienating fans. Say what you will but Farve like most sports figures are needy emotionally. He may have not felt welcome because he no longer ruled the roost. Either way I would see if Farve wanted back in Green Bay by virtue of a trade. That way we can retire his number and give him the send off he should have taken last year,.
I am therefor I think.

Here is a statement from the Green Bay Packers:

Congratulations to Brett on a remarkable career. The Packers organization wishes him and his family well. Brett always will hold a special place in Green Bay Packers history, and we remain committed to retiring his number at an appropriate time in the future.

Rock there already is a conspiracy theory out there it goes like this:

Brett Retires (clears cap space)
Jets go and sign a few free agents and use the cap room up
Brett un retires but Jets don't have the cap space for him so he is released
Goes to Minny.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

When Brett announced his retirement and gave that speech last year, when he cried I always thought about this day coming. And I always saw myself crying along with him(seriously) but I didn't. I didn't know why at the time. But I guess now I do. Now I'll never cry. Just because I'll never know for sure.

beast (1h) : Probably no SB topic as people are wore out talking about the Chiefs, Refs and Eagles
Zero2Cool (1h) : Packers reportedly have their new LB coach, promoting Sean Duggan to that role
Zero2Cool (5h) : WR Cooper Kupp is being traded.
packerfanoutwest (17h) : why is there no SB Prediction topic?

Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Now that's a thought, maybe they're looking at the college ranks? Maybe not head coaches but DC/assistant DCs with league experience?
beast (30-Jan) : College Coaches wouldn't want that publicly, as it would hurt recruiting and they might not get the job.
beast (30-Jan) : I thought they were supposed to publicly announce them, at least the NFL ones. Hafley was from college, so I believe different rules.
Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired
beast (30-Jan) : I wonder what's taking so long with hiring a DL coach, 2 of the 3 known to interview have already been hired elsewhere.
Zero2Cool (27-Jan) : Packers coach Matt LaFleur hires Luke Getsy as senior assistant, extends Rich Bisaccia's deal

Mucky Tundra (27-Jan) : happy birthday dhazer
TheKanataThrilla (26-Jan) : Exactly buck...Washington came up with the ball. It is just a shitty coincidence one week later
buckeyepackfan (26-Jan) : I forgot, they corrected the call a week later. Lol btw HAPPY BIRTHDAY dhazer!
buckeyepackfan (26-Jan) : That brings up the question, why wasn't Nixon down by contact? I think that was the point Kanata was making.
buckeyepackfan (26-Jan) : Turnovers rule, win the turnover battle, win the game.
packerfanoutwest (26-Jan) : well, he was
TheKanataThrilla (26-Jan) : Eagles down by contact on the fumble....fuck you NFL
Mucky Tundra (26-Jan) : I think this games over

packerfanoutwest (26-Jan) : that being said, The Ravens are the Browns
packerfanoutwest (26-Jan) : Browns, Dolphins have longest AFC Championship droughts
packerfanoutwest (26-Jan) : As of today, Cowboys have longest NFC Championship drought,
