I felt the exact opposite. I felt like we had a major advantage in OT, especially had we won the coin toss. The coin did us no favors, there. We had all the momentum. Cards were reeling... we were energized. Just too bad the wrong unit took the field first for OT.
We're TERRIBLE in short yardage and in the redzone and a 2 point conversion is both of those things. I know we got the one in Washington but the Redskins D is a sieve. I can't even begin to imagine the fallout had we gone for it and not gotten it. Losing that way would've been worse than how we actually lost.
Too bad we didn't have a legit TE...those kinda help down in the redzone. We had to settle for Figgys early... if those are TD's we walk out victorious. It's amazing how often we see the same thing over and over and over in Green Bay. Nothing ever changes...well, except for the play of the O this year.
The D is a mid tier unit but they played well today. I expect them to be in the 20's for D but they ended 15th. I recall Barfarn and I getting into it and him saying we were going to be Top 5 and I said we'd be bottom third. I think sschind said we'd likely be in the middle of those two and he was right on.
Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."
