We were not in FG range when we went for it in the 1st. It was 4th and 2 at the 48 of the Bears that's a 65 yard field goal...

And Crosby is 19 for 21 this year so far... with his two misses coming with less than 6 seconds left in the quarter during the second half of a game. A 44 yarder against the 49ers with 2 seconds left in the 3rd quarter and a 52 yarder that was placed in a "divot" and Crosby high topped the ball against the Lions with 5 seconds left in the 4th quarter.
Crosby's 50+ yarder this year were,
~ 54 yarder with 6:57 left in the 1st against the Seahawks,
~ 56 yarder with 9:13 left in the 3rd against the Broncos,
~ 52 yarder with 4:19 left in the 4th against the Vikings in which Crosby broke a record of 5 FGs at or over 40 yarders.
~ 50 yarder with 4 seconds left in the 2nd against the Bears
