http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/38456749.html ]Perry will coach safeties

Green Bay -- Oakland Raiders defensive backs coach Darren Perry will coach safeties for the Packers, an NFL source said today.

Perry's addition makes it likely that Joe Whitt Jr., the former defensive quality control coach, will instruct the cornerbacks, and Mike McCarthy's staff may be close to completion.

Outside of Dom Caper's hiring as defensive coordinator, the Packers have made none of their additions official.

Perry, 39, spent the past two seasons with the Raiders. Previously he was with the Steelers (2003-06, defensive backs) and the Bengals (2002, safeties).

He helped both safety Troy Polamalu (Pittsburgh) and cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha (Oakland) to All-Pro honors.

Not only does Perry have experience coaching in the 3-4, he played in it from 1992-98 as a defensive back with the Steelers. He also played in San Diego (1999) and New Orleans (2000).

JSonline is confirming it now.

Another good hire. The staff is really starting to come together now.

What exactly does a defensive quality control guy do? (please just sum it up for me lol I don't want to have to read a huge article to get a simple answer)

While a QC coach seems to do different things depending on which team they are with, the one consistent task I found for them is that they are responsible for breaking down opponent's game film. Usually they are a week or two ahead of the team. So while the team is preparing for their opponont that Sunday the QC coach is breaking down the film for the following Sunday's opponent. Often, he also serves as an advance scout and practice assistant.

Many times this is the first job for a young NFL coach with little or no reputation. The next step up for a hopeful QC coach is to be a specific position coach.

I watched another video that was at the bottom of that, which was the end of that fight. Mongo McMichael betrayed Kevin Greene and took some money at the end instead of helping Greene. Instead, he used the money case and knocked out Kevin Greene. They were TEAMMATES!

Wow....what a fag.

Also, look at the hit on Kevin Greene's knee! And the two other guys kept hitting it after it looks like he obviously tore something in it.

I know that this whole thing was probably fake, I know WWE is. But look at the hit on his knee, there's no way that's fake.

Wow this stuff is soooo fake haha. Reggie won this fight. The ref was too busy talking to that other woman. But it was awesome how Mango McMichael was walking out of the ring and Gilbert Brown picked him up and carried him back and threw him in the ring.

Wow. lol

dfosterf (25-Jul) : Probably a homer access credential intimidation kinda thing
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Meathead "journalists" skip this, concentrating on operational revenue when convenient. They switch when net revenue is more favorable.
