Coach pissed?

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy was not happy with the way the first half of Sunday's game against the San Diego Chargers ended.

And it wasn't just because his team gave up a last-second touchdown.

McCarthy wanted a false start penalty on the 1-yard touchdown catch by Dontrelle Inman on fourth-and-goal that allowed the Chargers to cut the Packers’ lead to 17-10.

“I thought the right tackle moved,” McCarthy said in a halftime interview on the CBS telecast. “But hey, that’s football.”

This seems out of character for him, and I was annoyed to hear these comments from him. That play was ticky-tack, and iffy calls went both ways. Stop a team from gashing you for 500 yards through the air instead of worrying about the damn zebras.

Surprised he brought up that call. It looked questionable, but I would be more pissed we take a time out and give up an easy pass for a td.

I don't know what to think of Dom. Man our D got killed today, but they made the stand when it mattered with the key play by a Rookie (great draft pick TT).

The officiating has gotten out of control. These guys are egocentric, but often egocentrics are good at their job. These guys just suck!

One example to show how truly stupid these guys are was on Rodgers' almost Intentional grounding call. Rodgers was in the grasp and getting thrown to ground as he was throwing the ball. IG is impossible in this situation and all those dopes got together and couldn't figure it out. How could ALL of them miss this? Now given they didn't know that part of the rule, they decide there was a receiver in the area, which was even more stupid. If Janis was in the area, I cant suck my own pecker. In their mind Aaron Rodgers got that call because he's Aaron Rodgers at home.

In the Pitts game today, Vick runs 9 yards on 2nd and 10, it's third and 1 and Hochuli pulls Vick from the game. Vick got a knee to the head when he was on the ground, so if Hochuli saw the knee to the head, where' the flag? Convicted dog fighters don't get that call I guess.

And I believe Newton that Hochuli said he wasn't old enough to get the call.

These arrogant Fu^&s make calls by vetting the circumstances through irrelevant stupid bullshIt stuff. Like who's the home team, whether the veteran deserves the call, or a jerk gets flagged or doesn't get a call. And i think alot of close calls are made vetting concerns for viewership, they try to keep the games closer, like that 2nd Aaron Rodgers INT last week. How could they review the clear visual evidence and not overturn that call, unless it was to keep Rams in the game.

Now a team has 2 choices:
take the musccy approach-which is not an invalid approach. Where you say quit being a Carroll-Harbaugh jumping around whining childish bitch and tell your guys to control the things the can control and whup the guy in front of you.

Or fight back. I think the league and officials should know there's a PR consequence for their inept behavior. I think that strategy will assist the Refs in doing their job better; I think the refs will become afraid to screw up a call of a team that will hurt them and you will get more calls in your favor.

BTW, a rules expert coach could have avoided Aaron Rodgers getting an IG call, when he was saved only by refs being their jerkish inept selves.

Geez, I hate to hear a coach go public with his dissatisfaction with the officiating.
It's one thing to tell your players that in the locker room but to make a public statement like that is sour grapes.
Like others, I feel this is something he is going to regret.

Barfarn...I generally agree with what you're saying, but in this case not as much.
With last week's int, I think it's more a matter of the league not knowing how to define a catch.

Calls influenced by other circumstances is not unique to the nfl. Jordan's winning shot vs. The Utah Jazz had a nice push off. Google traveling violations in the NBA. Strike zones are grey. To me that's more a part of human nature, an element you cant, and I don't think should regulate out of the game.

Aside from Fail Mary, I can't recall a game or situation where calls were one-sided enough to cost the Packers the game. Sure the IG play was clunky, but tjat or any other call was nowhere near as influential on the outcome as injuries and the Packers' performance on the field.
