According to Alex Marvez of Sporting News, the Packers will hire Jim Hostler away from the Indianapolis Colts to fill the open position.
Hostler was hired by the Colts in 2015. He spent his first season in Indianapolis as the receivers coach and the last two coaching tight ends.
Hostler has several connections to Packers coach Mike McCarthy, who needed a new receivers coach after losing Getsy to Mississippi State.
McCarthy and Hostler worked together in both New Orleans and San Francisco. From 2001-02, Hostler served as the Saints assistant receivers coach while McCarthy was the offensive coordinator. In 2005, Hostler was the quarterbacks coach for the 49ers while McCarthy once again served as offensive coordinator.
