Let's just get it out of the way right now and quote Bob McGinn: "It bore an eerie resemblance, the red-zone ineffectiveness of the Green Bay Packers' No 1 offense Thursday night, to seven months ago and a game played in Seattle that some people in Wisconsin might remember.' Just stop. Or to quote my

What killed us in that game is what has been killing us for awhile, and it is what I bitch about the most. Self shitting, which is to say "playing not to lose."

Preseason is the time to organize, practice, and evaluate. The Packers, like most teams, run basic formations and plays. The idea is to build, day by day, until you have a strong team. Fundamentals are the order of the day. Evaluations are based upon fundamentals. It's not reasonable to expect the Packers to try to teach advanced plays in Training Camp.

It ain't about the plays, it's the players. Pre-season, or not, where we getting the right players from, Buck? Not FA! LOL! We have no red zone weapon...AGAIN!!!! We're stuck with the same cast that could not get it done last year. That is reason for concern. Major concern. Who is the new RZ helper? Who?

Kick Figgy's all day. That'll be fun. Sure, we'll score our fair share from outside the RZ but once we get deep in there it's nightmarish. May as well stay back by the 20 and try to pass it in the endzone from there.

When the range of improvement runs from scoring the most points in the league to the most points ever scored in history, the only thing that comes to mind is: first world problems.

The Raiders, Bears, Falcons, Saints, and Giants were all top #10 in RZE. All had losing records.

Just like teams are built for certain things ours is not built for RZ prowess. We have no dominant RZ threat/target. It is a glaring hole in an otherwise excellent offense. Not coincidentally this is due to the fact we SUCK at TE. No TE and no redzone success often correlates to not having a playmaking TE. We have a couple of plodders at the position. No star power and it hurts us there. I've railed about Jimmy G for a few years. Seattle nabbed him but I'm not sure why at least for the RZ...Lynch carries people. Still, can't believe they didn't hand it to Marshawn...back to back SB champs is what they'd be right now.

We're down Finley... when we lose a stud we always seem to go with the duct tape vs. the equivalent approach. Man, I've never hoped I was more wrong on a player than Richard Rodgers. He's our only hope.

If you consider top 1/3rd in the league in RZE, and #1 in points nightmarish, I can only assume you don't know what that word means, or that your idea of a "nightmare" involves getting a blowjob from an attractive woman rather than a supermodel.
