I'm not saying I disagree with you but you are talking 2 for 1. I would hope that any teams #1 and #2 WRs would out produce another teams #1. I think your argument would be stronger if you just concentrated on comparing #1s 88/1320/16/head case for Bryant 98/1519/13/no head case for Jordy. Given just that I would argue the Packers got the better of the deal.

I will admit when I'm wrong... you were right, it was Kevin Seifert...an old Minnesota beat guy who wrote the piece.

No pre conceived notion... to not want Dez type talent is ludicrous. To celebrate that you don't have it is even worse.

If you want to say Megatron, although I disagree with it, I think it's at least a debatable point. As I've said, the Packers have been able to get roughly double the production for roughly the same price as 1 Calvin-esque player. Calvin demands more attention than either a Jordy or Cobb do, though. I get that...I still prefer the match up problems and versatility that multiple really good wrs provide.

When did this become a thread about Dez Bryant?

The article is about the success of The Packers (Ted Thompson ) at drafting, developing and maintaining.

The names change, but the results just keep getting better.

Says a lot about TT's ability to spot talent and the coaches ability to develope that talent.

NO DIVAS NEEDED!

Half the cost?

Let's look at this season shall we?

Dez= 7 million cap hit

Jordy and Randall = 11 million + cap hit

Yes, that's half the cost. I have a new abacus in the mail to you.

Nothing to do with the subject of the thread.

Any intern worth his weight knows cap hits are going to escalate each year of the contract.

I would have to check the guaranteed money of the whole contract to compare REAL money but that would just be silly.

I'm not sure if this guy has an opinion worthy of noting. All he's done is win a Super Bowl MVP and two NFL MVP's, but has he ever coached?

For being an emerging star, I would have expected to hear more about Davante Adams.

The cap hit is what matters THIS year. The cost isn't HALF... it's about 40% more of the cap THIS YEAR for the Packers.
