Show up....
Meaning they could be counted on every week to be on the field .

Play.....meaning
assignment sure, do their jobs at a high level.

This is my guess of what is going to happen the next few weeks.

Ted Will sign one more weapon on offense, be it a veteran wr,te , or rb.
My guess is wr.

He will go heavy on defense in the draft, and Will rely on the guys who have been in the system to step up and shore up the holes left by FA losses.
Like it or not, today's NFL is all about scoring points.

Something The Packers can do.

There Will be a lot of stat whoring, early as the defense Will need time to gell.

Those of you who think the loss of Williams and Hawk from The defense won't have an effect are going to find out just how important it is to have players who can show up every week and grind out a season.

Both those guys played through injuries, only missing 4 games total in their careers.

Time waits for no player, their time was up in Green Bay, hopefully their replacements are ready to step up.

If anything, Ted maybe should pick up a decent mid-range FA ILB and/or Corner of any are still around, but offense, no.

Even if we don't do that, however, and merely improve the D by drafting, I don't foresee a dropoff. Capers' compensation and scheming will keep things stable, and eventually the addition by subtraction of deleting B. Jones and Hawk will improve things.

Oh, yes, PackerNation is just lamenting the loss of AJ Hawk. How will we ever go on without AJ Hawk? What will we do now that we might have a LB who doesn't need the RB to run 5-7 yards down the field to make a weak tackle and force NO fumbles. Oh, the horror of not having a guy who makes ZERO game changing plays a season.

Tramon was a player with "diminishing skills" about to fall off the table. He was as a soft serve cone when it came to tackling. Will not be missed.

Don't worry, Buck...Trust Ted like you always do.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

This about replacing veteran football players and team leaders.

Of course with you it's all about trying to prove you are the most intelligent poster.
Considering your past track record,
I think I will go with Ted's decisions right now.

Please explain to me again why abredaris was the only good draft pick Ted made last year.
Please explain to me again why Melvin Gordan is to slow and will do nothing against Auburn.
Lastly, please tell me one more time why Ohio State doesn't belong, and didn't deserve to play in the 2014 tournament.

Please, please tell me one more time how much better The Packers would be with Jimmy Graham!

There are two active threads that gives you a chance to give your views of what you think will happen or what you think should be done.

You have participated in neither.

One trick pony you are,
Used to be funny,
Now it's just tiring and boring.

Somebody send me Buckeye's address so I can ship my Hawk jersey off to him. I can't just throw it the trash like Uncle Ted did to Hawk. LOL

Yeah, yeah - Hawk showed up, played hurt and all that garbage; but he hindered the team with his lack of talent and speed at a key position. Opposing offensive coordinators abused him like a red headed step child. And this is what Buckeye will never admit to, and what Uffda sees very clearly.

Since our defense has yet to break the top ten in recent years, I guess losing a few of the veterans doesn't bring me to a panic mode. Keep bringing in the draft picks and get more speed on the field. We still have plenty of veterans on the defense.

You all think Hawk was the problem the last 9 years, you are sadly mistaken.

The biggest problem as been players being injured.

you really should keep out of this because you can actually talk football when you want to.

This is all about Uffda trying to hijack another thread so he can once again show how muchmore intelligent he is compared to everyone else on this farum.

This has nothing to do with Hawk, Williams or anyone else,.

Has everything to do with Ted making him look foolish every year at this time .

You might want to hold on to that jersey and get it signed by AJ when he is inducted into The Packer Hall of Fame.

I just want you to make a list of Hawks pros and cons and actually prove to yourself whether or not he was a good football player. And does one pro bowl by default warrant the Packers hall of fame? The great linebackers of Packer past will either be nauseated or rolling in their graves if your wish of AJ being in the Packers Hall of Fame comes to fruition.

That's all you need to know.

You can join Uffda and twist it anyway you like.
Like him, you will look silly.

Hawk will be there after he retires.

You don't quite understand, you and your little group of Hawk haters are not the majority, but a very small minority.

That's fine, you all need .something to bitch about.

You all bit your wish, Hawks time was up in Green Bay,

Can't wait for tbe new whipping boy to be chosen.

Yeah looks like we got rid of all the glaring whipping boys. I too am curious who will take their places. Until then Ted will be the whipping boy.

dfosterf (16-Apr) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (16-Apr) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.

dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
