I'm still in a tizzy over how we can field a competitive team without AJ Hawk? I mean, really, how is replacing a player who created no fumbles, made no impact plays, with potentially another one who might do exactly the same nothing AJ did, not going to just kill us? I mean, AJ was just always there...what if heaven forbid we have to rotate a bevy of LB's who couldn't produce like AJ? It just won't be the same seeing the same LB underperforming week after week. I don't want to have to curse like 3 or 4 replacements for AJ for being as ineffective as he was. It would be nice just to lament ONE terrible inside LB. I guess the Buckeye factor can't be dismissed, either. Perhaps, we can find more scrub players from the Scarlet and Silver to play poorly for us to appease some "Packers" fans. I know there are a ton of Badgers fans but I don't think any of us are all that worried about whether the Packers have Badgers players or not. We just want to see the "Packers" win.
It is true, I think, that Vegas reacted favorably to the Bengals signing of AJ Hawk. I think they vaulted to the top of the odds pyramid for winning it all with his stellar addition. I can't wait to see the Bengals D rival the '85 Bears D now that AJ is there dominating for them. What a loss for the Packers. Ted Thompson is just out of his mind for letting a core stud like him get away. I know, afterall, he was outplayed by a 7th round pick who had brutal speed coming out of S. Florida. I guess Ted Thompson is just cheap and blowing out talent to save a penny.
BTW, Buck...I would forever standby my assertion that Ohio State had no business being gifted into the BCS playoff. Yes, they won...good for them. That will never change that the decision to put them in was based on things that had nothing to do with on the field stuff. The Buckeyes just so happened to win which makes people forget the logic used to even allow them their was flawed and reeked of old fat cat corruption. The Melvin Gordon charge? A bowl game that ain't the BCS it's anybody's guess as to how hard those kids are going to play in a meaningless exhibition game.
Let's just get back to your hero... the opposite of a playmaker...a playmisser if you will. How will Dom Capers coordinate a D without a turtle who can't make a gamechanging play if his life depended on it? That seems wholly unfair to Dom. I would resign if I was him.
