Did Packers' McCarthy make right call with Zook for special teams?

Packers head coach Mike McCarthy took 12 days to sack special teams coach Shawn Slocum. And instead of interviewing proven veterans, he selected Ron Zook. Did he make the right call?

We'll see, but this decision was made with the caveat that Mike will be more involved with special teams next season.

Impossible to say with intelligible at this point because we haven't seen even one game with him as coordinator for the Packers.

For the good or bad, it seems apparent that MM will have a heavier hand with the D and ST this year, so even if Slocum was still coordinator, I don't think we'd be able to say we'd KNOW how things would pan out this season.
