HALLELUJAH! The People have spoken, and the People have won!
Yeah, it obviously is about individuals, but it also is about parties, and in particular, it is about the ideas pushed by the two parties. Purely and simply, what the Democrats stand for has been roundly rejected pretty much nation-wide. I REJECT the notion that there are not good people and good ideas up for votes in elections.
As Buckeye said, Scott Walker's speech was impressive. His own governor, Kasich in Ohio is pretty impressive too - in both cases, MORE for what they have done while in office than for what they say. Many of the commentators said the vote tonight was a reflection of disgust with incumbents; Well, all of the Senate incumbents that got beat had something in common - they were Democrats!
Who will the Republicans put up in 2016? I don't know; That's what campaigns and the primaries are for. But in keeping with the subject of the thread, ANY of the many Republicans available would individually be a lot more competent and in tune with what Americans want than Hilary or any of the Dems.
