I saw this on ESPN this AM...

If there's a better quarterback in the league than Brady, it's Aaron Rodgers, who put a substandard Packers offense on his back last season and carried it all the way to the NFC Championship Game.

How I see the Packers is echoed in the above from ESPN. If the offense as a whole is substandard and we all agree the defense is substandard, then how do we really feel about our team? I see all of our success as a function of Rodgers greatness. How I think others view this team is...we're a great team built by one of the great GM's in the game. One of these positions is not correct.

So, how do you see your team? All Aaron Rodgers...or a great team built by Ted Thompson? It's pretty clear what the perception is in the ESPN comment. Not a good offense, not a good defense, but an all world QB carrying a total mess of a roster to the NFC Championship. Can you separate fact from fiction? Rodgers is that good...the fact he's had to play with what we have on this roster is shameful. Bad defense and a substandard offense.

Let's talk. Let's be honest. How do you see your team? ESPN comment wrong and biased?... or have you been wrong and biased? I'll stand hand in hand with ESPN on this one.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

I think overall nationally our WRs are overrated but OL is underrated and Montgomery is underrated because talent wise he's a legit RB but is seen as a WR playing RB still and not a true threat. Since Rodgers is so good and OL not being a flashy part of teams I think the "talent" around Rodgers this year isn't going to get enough credit.

He is one of my favorite Packers and I really like who he is or how he presents himself on twitter, but he's not a legit RB...yet. I understand that talent wise he's a real RB but real RB's carry it more than Ty has.

Our OL is a good group. Not sure they're underrated. Who would be doing such a thing?

Rodgers is why we win. Barfarn talks evidence all the time. When 12 isn't around this team is literally at the bottom of the NFL. Matt Flynn! Matt Flynn! This team doesn't win without 12 like most teams don't without their top gun but we have a poor D and an O that doesn't really work well without a superstar running it, so I'd say we're a very poor crew of support around Aaron Rodgers. It's been too many years of a weak roster around our one superstar. I'm pretty sure that's how it will continue until regime change.

Interesting nobody is here to defend the org's honor on this but it is pretty cut and dried why this team has been in the playoffs 8 straight years. One guy. Aaron Rodgers. Get the man some help!!!!!

I need at least four regular season games before I can see the team. And even then that's early. That said, I still predict them getting 11 or so wins. I am spoiled. I take the Packers getting into playoffs for granted. I'm waiting for post-season already.

0 RBs averaged 25 carries a game last year. Only 2 were over 20. That's a completely arbitrary number. Unless NFL.com stats are wrong for att/game nobody has averaged 25 carries a game since 2010, that's a completely ridiculous standard.

I'm not talking about some arbitrary "real RB" standard anyways I'm talking about when he's in the backfield our running game is a threat. Health is a big issue but the dudes a good RB.

In 2016, guess how many RBs averaged 25 rushes per game? NONE... only two averaged 20 carries per game in Le'Veon Bell and Ezekiel Elliott. Bell and Elliott only run it 25 times a game 3 times (each) all season... so even they don't consistently carry it 25 times a game!

So to prove Montgomery is a #1 RB, he must do something no other RB does? BULLSHIT!

How do you see (rate/evaluate/access/score) your team ? The question does not ask , how do you want to see your team ? Being able to look past your team loyalty to reveal the unvarnished truth is being honest , not disloyal to your team .

IMO, without Aaron Rodgers , GB's Offense is at best an average team. He has made , by virtue of his skills , made some WR's better than they should have been . Also , a good QB is an aid to a teams RB's as it makes opposing defenses play both the run and the pass , instead of focusing on just one or the other . Additionally , an Offensive line is like the foundation of a house . It needs to support the Offense in both run blocking and pass blocking . GB is lucky to have a quality OL , but without a future HOF QB in Rodgers , GBis still just an average Offense .

On the defensive side of the field, at this point in time I'm just not sure what we are going to see this season. The CB positions will either make or break this 2017 GB Defense . House may be serviceable , but the other CB position may see a revolving door of also want-to-be starters as opposing QB's slice and dice the Packer's secondary .

The Special Teams , IMO , will be special with Travis Davis returning kicks .

88 has carried it more than 9 times once in his career. I should've put 20-25 carries. My bad.

Enough of this BS the team would get a top 5 draft pick if Rodgers wasn't under center. Matt friggin Flynn had a .500 record with this team. Albeit a small sample size but he still went 3-3 and would have won the fourth against NE in Foxboro if the defense could have held a 4th quarter lead. I believe the team is better than being given credit for and has been over the years. Rodgers just puts them over the top. Unfortunately for him, coaches getting out smarted (or outsmarting themselves) and brain farts by youth have kept him from returning to the winners circle.

That includes Barclay who is IR, Crosby and Goode. Just because Flynn won 2 games in 2014 doesn't mean anything today.

Zero2Cool (7m) : I wanna kill new QB's ... blitz the crap out of them.
beast (7m) : Barry seemed to get too conservative against new QBs, Hafley doesn't have that issue
Zero2Cool (59m) : However, we seem to struggle vs new QB's
Zero2Cool (59m) : Should be moot point, cuz Packers should win tonight.
packerfanoutwest (1h) : ok I stand corrected
Zero2Cool (1h) : Ok, yes, you are right. I see that now how they get 7th
Zero2Cool (1h) : 5th - Packers win out, Vikings lose out. Maybe?
beast (1h) : Saying no to the 6th lock.
beast (1h) : No, with the Commanders beating the Eagles, Packers could have a good chance of 6th or 7th unless the win out
Zero2Cool (1h) : I think if Packers win, they are locked 6th with chance for 5th.
beast (1h) : But it doesn't matter, as the Packers win surely win one of their remaining games
beast (1h) : This is not complex, just someone doesn't want to believe reality
beast (1h) : We already have told you... if Packers lose all their games (they won't, but if they did), and Buccaneers and Falcons win all theirs
Zero2Cool (1h) : I posted it in that Packers and 1 seed thread
Zero2Cool (1h) : I literally just said it.
packerfanoutwest (1h) : show us a scenario where Pack don't get in? bet you can't
Zero2Cool (1h) : Falcons, Buccaneers would need to win final two games.
Zero2Cool (1h) : Yes, if they win one of three, they are lock. If they lose out, they can be eliminated.
packerfanoutwest (1h) : as I just said,,gtheyh are in no matter what
Zero2Cool (1h) : Packers should get in. I just hope it's not 7th seed. Feels dirty.
packerfanoutwest (1h) : If packers lose out, no matter what, they are in
packerfanoutwest (1h) : both teams can not male the playoffs....falcon hold the tie breaker
packerfanoutwest (1h) : if bucs win out they win their division
beast (2h) : Fine, Buccaneers and Falcons can get ahead of us
packerfanoutwest (2h) : falcons are already ahead of us
beast (2h) : Packers will get in
beast (2h) : If Packers lose the rest of their games and Falcons win the rest of theirs, they could pass us... but not gonna happen
packerfanoutwest (2h) : they still are in the playoffs
packerfanoutwest (2h) : If Packers lose the remaining games,,,,at 10-7
Zero2Cool (3h) : We can say it. We don't play.
Mucky Tundra (5h) : But to say they are in is looking past the Saints
Mucky Tundra (5h) : That said, their odds are very favorable with a >99% chance of making the playoffs entering this week's games
Mucky Tundra (5h) : Packers are not in and have not clinched a playoff spot.
buckeyepackfan (6h) : Packers are in, they need to keep winning to improve their seed#.
Mucky Tundra (14h) : Getting help would have been nice, but helping ourselves should always be the plan
beast (15h) : Too bad Seahawks couldn't beat Vikings
bboystyle (15h) : We just need to win Monday night and were in
Mucky Tundra (18h) : Or ties, but let's be real here
Mucky Tundra (18h) : Other scenario was Falcons+Rams losses
Mucky Tundra (18h) : Needed a Falcons loss for a Seahawk loss to clinch
buckeyepackfan (18h) : Am I wring in saying if Tge Vikings beat The Seahawks, The Packers clinch?
Mucky Tundra (21-Dec) : Agreed; you stinks
Zero2Cool (21-Dec) : I'm not beating anyone. I stinks.
Mucky Tundra (21-Dec) : rough injury for tank dell. guy can't catch abreak
beast (21-Dec) : So far the college playoffs have sucked... One team absolutely dominates the other
beast (21-Dec) : Well even if you weren't positive towards a guy, you wouldn't nessarily want to tell the media that (if they don't know about it)
Martha Careful (21-Dec) : I think MLF want Love to look past the end half issues, and feel good about his play. Our coaches generally keep a very positive tone.
beast (21-Dec) : I think a great running game will do that for most QBs
packerfanoutwest (21-Dec) : Coach Matt LaFleur has said quarterback Jordan Love is playing the best football of his career.
beast (21-Dec) : Oh, that's how you keep beating buckeye, with cheating
