That play aside as you just mentioned Peppers was getting home just not quite closing the deal. Knock on wood, so far that may be the strongest aspect of the Packers' defense, they are getting pressure.

We caught a major break when Wilkerson and Decker went out...the two best at their respective positions.

I will say our run D did a fine job vs. their RB's.

Eddie Lacy has less than 100 yards in the first two games and he may not crack 100 for the season by the time the Lions game is over.

I cringe thinking what Megatron, Tate, Ebron, Bush and company are going to do to this defense...thankfully, Stafford is immobile...that should help a little.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

Hawk does not tighten his chin strap.

He keeps it loose so he can make the defensive calls.

That is what I read.

Also that really annoyed me another year... when his helmet kept coming off and the announcers going look at that big hit on Hawk what a great block... when really it was so loose someone might be able to lightly push it off... and it had nothing to do with a big hit.

We'll put out a good defense when we go against slow quarterbacks.

But against the fast guys, we're gonna look like all the time.

I thought this was a "character building" win, to espouse a little coach-speak. Hard to start a game worse than that -- the fumble, quick score, and New York's domination of both lines of scrimmage.

Was discouraged by some of the calls to go for field goals, but in the end the safe points all added up to keeping the game within reach. And Crosby has to get credit for smackin' that 55-yarder.

Offensively it was disappointing to abandon the run in the first half. Not just after we were down a buttload, but after giving up the first and second scores. This has happened a lot with early deficits. Still, the offense found a rhythm -- just couldn't turn long drives into TDs.

Second half was a different game. Once we got a few stops defensively it provided some hope. The third-down conversions in the first half ... woof.

Big play by Jordy, who had a key drop in the 4th but otherwise bailed Rodgers out on a few throws. Where are the tight ends through two games? Davonte looked good. I also think Green Bay needs to keep using Cobb in different ways. Had a couple of carries -- and though they didn't amount to much -- Green Bay should keep getting him touches.

Run defense shored up in the second half -- and if I'm not mistaken, a big chunk came on that option play with Geno to Kerley -- but I'm still not satisfied.

Pass rush was getting close but didn't seal the deal enough. Geno is mobile. Peppers with the near pick late.

These are my thoughts.
William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.

I didn't see the game. So I won't comment in any detail until after the next game.

From what others have said, it sounds like it was a meh sort of game.

I'll have more to say when I get back home from Green Bay, but I did want to say that while I was watching the game, never did any negative thoughts about our GM cross my mind. Instead, I was more on Aaron Rodgers, offensive play calling, and Dom Caper's (initial as it would seem) gameplan which looked very odd to say the least.
