Clay Matthews was put in a similar situation on the other side of the field a couple drives later only he had a blocker in front of him and Harvin had more time to react after he caught the ball. Did Clay run backwards... no Clay ran toward Harvin and made the tackle (with an added forced fumble) before he got the first down. That's the difference between what a good LB does and what a bad LB does. Make all of the excuses you want it's not hard to see.

He lined the guy up, closed the gap, and wrapped him up for no gain or could have been a loss.
Why is that play not "Classic Hawk"?

Hawk once again lead the team in tackles while being on the field only 48 of 70 plays.

I guess unless it's an "impact play" those tackles don't count.

There were very few "Impact plays" last Thursday. From anyone.

I saw Clay whiff real bad on a rb in the backfield one play, yet you don't mention that.

I guess Clay was a "real Bad lb" on that play.

Just read where Lattimore will be starting for Jones, but when it comes to playing the "dime" lb it will probably be AJ Hawk, not Lattimore or Barrington, because Hawk has the experience of making the D calls and adjustments.

So Good news boys, you will probably have many more plays this week to bash on AJ Hawk.

Have fun with it.

He did exactly what he should have done.

The play was a 4 yd gain, better that then Hawk whiffing and Harvin somehow gets through Hyde for a big gain.

1st drive of the game for Seattle, Packers stopped them next series, but then there was the roughing penalty on the punt.

Try taking a look at the big picture, not isolating this play and that play.

Hawk started backing up before Harvin could even get his head around. All Hawk did was give Harvin more time to react and more space to work with. Instead of closing the distance and making the play he had to rely on Micah Hyde to defeat a block and get in Harvins way. If Hawk cannot make the play then he's simply not good.

Go back and read Capers comment that was posted earlier about gang tackling.

Again
Hawk did exactly what he was suppose to do.

"he wasn't going to be stopped" is bullshit. If Hawk kept moving he would have easily met Harvin before the Line of scimmage. I see no way at all that Hawks "adjustment" prevented a huge gain.
