Lol @ acting like clay shouldnt have missed so much time fora broke thumb (because brett favre) when he so easily re broke it. If anything he should have missed more time but now we dont have him for playoffs if we make it. Thats what toughing it out gets you. Too bad some idiots cant understand that.

Just because he hurt his thumb doesn't make him injury prone. He was making a play and unluckily got his thumb caught on another player.

Besides, having Clay for 3/4 of the season and having him set out for 1/4 is way more valuable than not having him at all. Crazy how much our defense improves when he is on the field.

So playing 12 games is worth a $12 million a year contract then I guess your right again
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

By the way itll cost like a 13m cap hit to get rid of him so that plan is worthless anyways

year - start/games played
2009 - 13/16
2010 - 15/15 missed Miami game due to injury
2011 - 15/15 was held out due to home field secured
2012 - 12/12
2013 - 11/11

Clay has missed 11 games, one of those was a healthy scratch. Therefore Clay has missed 10 games due to injury in a five year career.

I still don't get why he can't "club up" and play. I don't expect him to intercept a ball anyway but he can certainly tackle a ball carrier or sack Cutler. Or did the broken thumb aggravate his hamstring too.

Steve I am not saying cut him I am saying shop him around during the offseason. And Kevin so your saying it is acceptable that you work 4 days instead of 5 right or in clay Matthews situation you take 2 games off a year miss 9 out of 32 games in the last 2 years

Most players inthe nfl miss a few games hereor there.

Actually the NFL correlates really well to real life. Clay Matthews is a privileged player that gets a lot of free passes. If he was one of our "just a guys" there's no way anybody would be cutting him an ounce of slack. Look how hard all of us are on the star that never was AJ Hawk - who will be suiting up on Sunday. As a Packer fan and "owner" I'm calling for Clayroids to get his ass in there and play on Sunday.
