I was comparing all the QBs to Aaron, and showing he's definitely a top 10 QB (and I think even higher).

It'd be one thing if Rodgers wasn't ranking in the top ten of just about every solid passing category, but the fact is he is and that's encouraging. To try and discredit his season because he's not Brett Favre is ridiculous.

On the flip side, comparing him to a list of Hall of Fame QB's is also ridiculous. Yes the numbers are nice to see, but if you look hard enough you can find quite a few 4th year QB's who were great and then fell off the map.

Google Aaron Brooks whom wasn't bad himself.

This is a silly argument, in my opinion. The fact he's following a hall of famer is completely irrelevant to his performance. Just because other teams didn't have the foresight and scouting acumen to successfully replace their legends doesn't mean the Packers were doomed to repeat their mistakes. I don't buy the idea that following a great player somehow weighs on the successor's mind.

If Rodgers were so mentally weak that he couldn't stand on his own two feet, he wouldn't have belonged in the NFL.

You're kidding, right? The Jets defense is way better than ours. Many of those Jets game won were because of their defense. Many of those Jets game lost were because of Favre's interceptions.

Yeah, some rules changes have favored the offense and others have favored the defense (DBs can now force you out and it's an incomplete pass, narrowing the field and shrinking the endzone).

So lets just compare him to QBs that played this year, then.

Rodgers finished 6th in the NFL in QB rating (93.8), behind Phil Rivers, Chad Pennington, Kurt Warner, Drew Brees, and Peyton Manning. He was 4th in yds (4038) behind Drew Brees, Kurt Warner, and Jay Cutler. He was 4th in TDs (28) behind Drew Brees, Phil Rivers, and Kurt Warner. 10th in completion percentage, and 9th in yds per attempt.

Pretty good stats for his first year starting. Pretty good stats for a guy who separated his shoulder and played through it.

A couple really big stats that people seem to leave out is. He has a red zone rating of something like 104.2 and a 3rd down rating somewhere around 103.7
