I sincerely thought he'd be back prior to the Lions game. I was certain of it.

One thing puzzles me.

Aaron Rodgers was scanned on Tuesday and was disappointed in the results. So why did he practice Wednesday and Friday knowing there was no chance he'd be medically cleared because he wasn't going to be scanned again until Today?

I think we are being lied to again.

He probably wanted to see if he could practice without pain. Now if he is cleared and it still hurts he will know if it is getting better or not. It does seem a little ridiculous to practice if you know you are not going to play but he has to start shaking the rust off sometime. He is certainly not taking hits so practicing won't hurt anything...well except that it hurt but you know what I mean.

1: Who has ever argued that McCown is starter quality?

2: Flynn himself is "arguably" starter quality.

McCown has certainly showed that he is starter quality this season. Certainly better than anyone we have thrown out there. Whether he keeps it up, since his track record is not nearly as strong as his recent performance, is a another thing.

Marshall is as good if not better than anyone we have even if Cobb is healthy and Jeffry is every bit as good. M Bennett is a better TE than we have. Forte is as good if not better than Lacy. We may be on fairly equal footing when it comes to weapons but they certainly seem to have a better O line than we do.

Right now, with Rodgers out I would say the Bears have a better offense than we do. I know that some of you will deny this simply because it is the Bears but I believe it to be true. Of course they could have P. Manning, A. Peterson, J. Charles, C. Johnson, A.J. Green and J. Graham and some people would still say we are better so you know what I think of their opinions. Whether you want to admit it or not, the Bears have built a pretty damned solid offense. If they can get their QB situation squared away they will score lots and lots of points. I say that about the QB situation because I do not think McCown is the answer even the way he has played. I don't think he would keep it up over an entire season.

At this point, I do think I'd take Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jeffery, Martellus Bennett, and Matt Forte over Jordy Nelson, James Jones, Andrew Quarless, and Eddie Lacy. Alshon Jeffery is quickly becoming an elite receiver. Once Cobb and Rodgers are back, I don't think it would really matter much. But Chicago's main offensive weapons are nothing to laugh about, at all. Having two elite WRs and an elite RB is tough to stop.

And for the 2013 season, I don't see how there can any any debate. McCown >>> Flynn.

Browns can easily beat The Bears this weekend, Lions are still The Lions until they prove they can finish a season, the fact that is, The Packers can lose 1 more game, finish 8-7-1 and still win the division.

Without Aaron this week odds are The Packers don't win, but hey odds are made to be beat.

I do think you are right. Anything can happen. 3 games left. Bears and Lions can easily lose two each the rest of the way. Seems improbable, but it can happen. If we somehow get into the playoffs by miraculously winning the division, anything can happen. Again.

Listening to the radio on my way over here (to the library) and they were talking how Aaron Rodgers didn't sound as positive that he'd be cleared to play this week as he had been in the last couple of weeks.
I can't see us beating the Cowboys at Dallas without him. Even with him it would be hard.

I think if he can't play, and the Packers lose this weekend, Aaron Rodgers will be shelved for the season.
Just my opinion of course.

Maybe they are trying to squeeze out a couple more wins without him to let him heal more. If GB somehow does it, awesome! Aaron may still make it back. They may be trying to buy just a couple more weeks like they did with Richardson.

Protect Flynn, control the clock, quick passes/get the receivers in space because the Cowboys cant tackle = Buys Rodgers another week.
