Pretty safe bet that 60 minutes isn't getting a Christmas card. And yes... I grew in the beard for November, but I was ignorant to the Movember cause.

Rodgers: ‘My personal life is my personal life’

However, Rodgers does not shy away from being critical when he believes it's justified. He recently showed his frustration with the way CBS news magazine "60 Minutes" chose to edit its story on him. Instead of mentioning the MACC Fund, a childhood cancer research organization Rodgers gives plenty of his time to, "60 Minutes" focused much of its attention on his sensitivity about his height and other issues.

As he met with the local media Wednesday, Rodgers was sporting a full mustache in support of Movember — an annual November event intended to raise awareness for early detection of cancer and to help battle the disease.

When asked about his new facial hair growth, the quarterback used the opportunity to take another shot at "60 Minutes."

"I just like this look, I do," Rodgers said. "Unlike some TV programs, any chance I can get to raise awareness about cancer, I'm going to do. That's why I'm choosing to wear this for now."

I also heard him complaining about the edit job. Can't really blame the guy. 4 months, and that was what they came up with?
You can be sure he won't EVER do that again. 60 minutes showed their true colors.
"Hey, let's make Aaron Rodgers look like a douche!"
(I wonder if Vikesrule works for 60 minutes in the editting departmaent???)[grin1]

Aaron took a pretty good shot at 60 minutes in his interview, think it was Tuesday or ednesday.
He was asked about his style of mustache he was growing in support of breast cancer awareness( I think).

He answered

"I try to support these causes as much as possible, unlike some tv shows"

Not a word for word quote, but it I thought it was just the way Aaron handles these things.

Simple to the point and then he gave his "wrestling smile" and they moved on.
I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!

buck - read Shawn's post just a couple above lol :P

Aaron Rodgers was never taken out of context and most anybody portrayed as he was on 60 Minutes would have been flattered by the story. It was fair and accurate and it was obvious we got it right when we reported that he tends to be overly sensitive.

60 Minutes executive producer Jeff Fager wrote:

I think Aaron said they edited the piece to suit their desire, not that it was taken out of context.

I haven't watched 60 minutes in years.

No, make that decades.

IMO it's a "news institution" that has long outlived its usefulness.

But then again, most of TV news "reporting" and "analysis" is anything but, isn't it.

Because, ahem, 60 minutes "blazed the way".

Blazed the way to incompetence and uselessness.

IMO.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Here is some of the footage that was "Supposedly"* edited out of the 60 minutes piece.. might lend a little credence to why he was upset.

* Can't find the accreditation for it being 60 minutes footage.

beast (4h) : I don't want to get into politics, but how is, beers and brats considered to be "woke"? Food is food...
beast (4h) : That being said, I'm not saying all 100% should be that way, but not surprised if majority are Wisconsin based
beast (4h) : And if everyone has heard of them, then it it probably has less growth potential and less community based

dfosterf (25-Jul) : It's my one day deal complaint dept. on shareholder meeting day
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Probably a homer access credential intimidation kinda thing
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Meathead "journalists" skip this, concentrating on operational revenue when convenient. They switch when net revenue is more favorable.
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Resulting in an actual drop of net revenue of 12.5%. She is from Minnesota. Just sayin'
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Any plans to hold Maureen Smith (CFO) accountable for a 95% drop in investment revenue?

Mucky Tundra (25-Jul) : also, no bueno when a guy starts getting concussions right off the bat in his career
Zero2Cool (25-Jul) : Concussion is worse. Banks probably vet off day via back booboo claim
Mucky Tundra (25-Jul) : @AndyHermanNFL Jordy Nelson out at camp today. No word if he’s in play for one of the two open roster spots ; )
