Quite a few on this board were pissed off about the Packers 15 - 1 season defensive performance. I think it was NFL worst in pass defense and many were saying that won't cut it in the post season. They were right.

anyways ... IMO pack was still good that year ... this year reminds me of 2008 season except Alot worse.

Exceptions do not define the norm. I think most on this board were very aware of the weaknesses of this team, especially the past couple of seasons. To say otherwise is arrogant.

Believe it or not, it is possible to enjoy a win while being more than aware of a teams weaknesses. But at least when one's team is winning, it gets them through another week where HOPEFULLY those weaknesses are address and mitigated. Unfortunately for the Packers, most of the weaknesses haven't been corrected, and many have stayed the same or gotten worse.

If one thinks it's an over-reaction to think that it's time for another defensive coordinator to get a chance, than I just disagree. I think the same about the offensive line coaching. Sometimes, it's just time for a change.

Saying "fire Ted" or "fire McCarthy" is a bit over the top. I'd call that going off the deep end.

By now, everyone should be aboard the "fire Capers" train. I wouldn't call that going off the deep end.

Dom has shown no reason to be retained,
Mike McCarthy has done a shitty job, but has probably had the worst set of circumstances possible on his side of the ball. And he has a pretty positive history on his side.

The issues I rattled off were there the year we went 15-1, just 2 seasons ago.. yet no one wanted to talk about a flawed football team going into the playoffs. But now.. heads must roll.

Look at the posts on this site going into the Giants playoff game, there were many of us who were not confident going into that game even with homefield because the bad weather exposed our one-dimensional team.

Defensively, we've set all time records for poor play in one area or another since winning SB XLV. That is really bad.

Both Ted and Mike are ultimately responsible for the growth or lack thereof in their personnel, and both have a responsibility to see that area of this team is progressing at an optimal level. If it isn't, then those areas should be addressed. Mike McCarthy needs to handle the staff issues. DC, Strength & Conditioning, STs and OL coaching have all had major issues for the last 3 seasons. If Mike won't handle it, then the responsibility falls on Ted.

As fans, we are just seeing what is wrong with this team, and hoping for a fix.

buckeyepackfan (7m) : Packers are in, they need to keep winning to improve their seed#.
Mucky Tundra (9h) : Getting help would have been nice, but helping ourselves should always be the plan
beast (9h) : Too bad Seahawks couldn't beat Vikings
bboystyle (9h) : We just need to win Monday night and were in
Mucky Tundra (12h) : Or ties, but let's be real here
Mucky Tundra (12h) : Other scenario was Falcons+Rams losses
Mucky Tundra (12h) : Needed a Falcons loss for a Seahawk loss to clinch
buckeyepackfan (13h) : Am I wring in saying if Tge Vikings beat The Seahawks, The Packers clinch?
Mucky Tundra (21-Dec) : Agreed; you stinks

Mucky Tundra (21-Dec) : rough injury for tank dell. guy can't catch abreak
beast (21-Dec) : So far the college playoffs have sucked... One team absolutely dominates the other
beast (21-Dec) : Well even if you weren't positive towards a guy, you wouldn't nessarily want to tell the media that (if they don't know about it)
Martha Careful (21-Dec) : I think MLF want Love to look past the end half issues, and feel good about his play. Our coaches generally keep a very positive tone.
beast (21-Dec) : I think a great running game will do that for most QBs
packerfanoutwest (21-Dec) : Coach Matt LaFleur has said quarterback Jordan Love is playing the best football of his career.
beast (21-Dec) : Oh, that's how you keep beating buckeye, with cheating

beast (20-Dec) : As of tonight, 3 way tie for 2nd in Pick'em, that battle is interesting!
beast (20-Dec) : Lions vs Vikings could be the main last game as it could determine division winners or #1 vs #2 seed
Mucky Tundra (20-Dec) : Or if KC needs to win for the #1 seed
Mucky Tundra (20-Dec) : Right now it looks like the only prime worthy games are Det-Minny and KC-Denver (if Denver can clinch a wild card spot)
Mucky Tundra (20-Dec) : The entirety of week 18 being listed as flex is weird
Zero2Cool (19-Dec) : Matt LaFleur today says unequivocally "Ted Thompson had nothing to do with the drafting of Jordan Love."
Zero2Cool (19-Dec) : Apparently, the editing is what pieces comments together. That Ted thing ... fake news.
Zero2Cool (19-Dec) : LaFleur "opportunity that Ted Thompson thought was too good to pass up"
Zero2Cool (19-Dec) : Jordan Love pick was Ted Thompson's idea.

packerfanoutwest (18-Dec) : haha that's a lie
beast (17-Dec) : Despite what lies other might tell, Beast didn't hate the Winter Warnings, it felt refreshing to Beast for some reason.
Zero2Cool (17-Dec) : whiteout uniforms in general are pretty lame and weak. NFL greed at it's worst
Martha Careful (17-Dec) : The Viking uniforms, the whiteout uniforms specifically absolutely suck
beast (17-Dec) : Thanks Zero2Cool, looks a lot better now
beast (17-Dec) : Seems like someone has a crush on me, can't stop talking about me
Zero2Cool (17-Dec) : Should be gooder now. The forum default theme went to goofy land.
Zero2Cool (17-Dec) : What the hell
packerfanoutwest (17-Dec) : yeah beast hates the Winter Warning Unies
Mucky Tundra (16-Dec) : Okay I'm glad to know it's not just something happening to me lol
Mucky Tundra (16-Dec) : Zero, did you copy the Packers uniforms from last night and white out the board?
beast (16-Dec) : Oh crap, is the board going to the Winter Warning Uniforms too?!? It's all white on white right now!
Zero2Cool (16-Dec) : WR Odell Beckham Jr is officially a free agent after clearing waivers.
Zero2Cool (16-Dec) : Packers are 6th in sacks.
Zero2Cool (16-Dec) : RB David Montgomery will undergo season-ending knee surgery.
